Deadpool to be in "Logan"

Looks like Ryan Reynolds will be suiting up in red again well before the next Deadpool Movie. In fact, you will see him on the big screen in three months time along with Hugh Jackman in the third Wolverine movie, Logan.
From Comicbook.com

Here’s a surprise 20th Century Fox and Logan director James Mangold probably didn’t want spoiled! According to The Wrap, Ryan Reynolds has shot something for the movie which will likely be used as an after-credits scene, and while they don’t offer any specifics, it was Deadpool 2 director David Leitch who took the helm of that. It’s clearly something which has been added fairly late in the game then.
While it would be easy to start getting excited about some sort of Wolverine/Deadpool team-up, this scene could very well be totally unrelated to the events of Logan by setting up the events of the sequel.
Sure, we could see the two iconic characters cross paths, but it will probably just be a tongue in cheek moment which doesn’t really matter rather than the Merc with the Mouth showing up to help Wolverine and X-23 battle the Reavers. We’ll just have to wait and see, but this news is still pretty exciting! What would you like to see in the after-credits scene? Let us know that in the usual place.

    1. Ah crap! The story was all over the place. I sourced it from comicbookmovie.com that had he was definitely in it, cbr.com, and more. Well I hate to do a retraction, but if I must retract…

  1. Well even if this is just a rumor I believe Wolverine #88 is the first meeting in comics between the two (if I am wrong feel free to correct me). A pretty cheap book with decent long term potential no matter if they are in the movie together or not.

  2. Flash in the pan spec, they wont ever meet in the movies because of the budget difference and Reynolds purposely wants to keep the budget low. Even if this rumor were true, there is zero long term spec in this, don’t waste money on the Deadpool/Wolverine meetups unless you want them for your personal collection. The value of this comic now is about the same as it will be in 5 years.

    1. I thought Spider-Man would never interact with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so never say never. Seriously though, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a smidgen of Deadpool and Wolverine cross-over goodness. They’re at the same studio and make absurd amounts of money, why wouldn’t you have them meet-up?

    2. If the book was a twenty dollar book already I would agree with you that there isn’t huge spec value, but NM copies can still be found for $5 or $6 maybe even less at local comic shops. As time marches on I would think two of the most popular characters in comics first meeting would have some interest…A major key? No. Could it go up a buck or two each year for a while? Sure it could. No way would I say this is the book that will put your kids through college let alone kindergarten.
