Major Cameo Leaks for Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Looks like there are going to be a ton of surprises in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. That is unless you don’t read the spoilers. i09 had the story.

Near the end of the movie, new characters played by Ving Rhames and Michelle Yeoh appear. The credits (as well as James Gunn at the press conference) confirm they play Charlie-27 and Aleta Ogord, two ravager leaders in the film. Exactly why they appear is STILL too big of a spoiler to share, but in one of the five end-credits scenes, they meet up with Stakar, played by Sylvester Stallone, and two other aliens: Krugarr and Mainframe. The five characters vow to get back together and steal some shit.

Aleta Ogord first appears in Defenders #29
Charlie-27 first appears with the rest of the original Guardians in Marvel Superheroes #18
Krugarr first appears in Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1
Mainframe first appears in A-Next #1

  1. It makes sense Gunn saved HIM for GOTG 3, I also read that Wonderman’s scene was cut but he still appears in the fake movie posters in a couple scenes.

  2. So, still no Adam Warlock? MEH! When he does appear I hope he doesn’t look gold like Ayesha / Her

    1. Ha! True!…Well, as long as the on screen character isn’t constantly sticking out its tongue and only has one or two very short lines with one or two syllable words I guess it won’t be all that bad…Maybe autotune the hell out of it?

      1. I swear when the movie comes out on DVD I am going to splice that scene of Mainframe with her YouTube rant with her crying and screaming when Trump won. Now I am not political nor care which party she is affiliated with, I just hated her stupid reaction video. Plus it would be funny.

      2. “Totally do that! Hilarious!”…. Opps….put this comment in the wrong place (above)

  3. Hot damn! More first appearances to track down….At least most of these are still cheap.

  4. A next is chugging along has a $9.99 + shipping sale and a $13 free shipping recorded sale not bad for a book that was $1 12 hours ago.

    1. Yeah, bought two at $4…. would have preferred $1, but if it does move close to $20 I won’t complain…much more than I usually do.

      1. Just bought another one on Amazon for $1.50 plus shipping… Still some cheap copies on there…Although it seems 9 times out of 10 when I happen to run into problems after ordering online it is usually from Amazon sellers, so we we see.

      2. I don’t buy Amazon unless it’s Prime.. the few times I’ve bought from independent sellers it’s slow, they come damaged, etc. And you never see an actual pic of the actual product like you usually see on eBay.

          1. I buy toilet paper, other cleaning products…. Amazon Prime Pantry is awesome…. I buy electronics and other things, books at times…. But comics…. Nope, never.

      3. @ Poyo..I totally hear you… I figured for $1.50 plus shipping why not, but I try to stay away from private sellers on Amazon. Low risk stuff, every now and then. Got burned a few years back…Amazon did cover it but always a pain. Completely soured me on the site…. With collectibles amazon is kinda like ebay in the late 90’s right now. They really need to pick up the slack with unscrupulous sellers or sellers that have no clue how to pack items…Anyway I did email the guy to ask for the book to be backed “extra sturdy” so we shall see.

  5. Wasn’t the Mainframe that appeared in the Guardians series just as an spect of the Vision (like when took over all the tech in the world in Avengers first series ) and not a new character?

    1. There are four mainframes in Marvel Comics. It is hard to pinpoint which one it is but one of the articles had this one as it.

      1. Got it. (But I’m going to hold my copy of Avengers #57 a little closer, just in case.)

      2. According to Comicbook.com, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed to reporter Sarah Ruhlman that the voice of Mainframe is indeed singer and regular Voice judge Miley Cyrus. The character is described as “only a head” and the “31st Century version of the Vision.”

      3. And that’s a really good point Jason because the whole vision from the future Mainframe deals with Wonderman and Caps shield. The Mainframe from Marvel universe 2 is kinda a mash up Ultron, Vision, and Ironmans suit but does follow the whole Tony Stark created AI storyline and the AI can live forever by uploading itself in new computers or robots. Can’t really call them the same character but can’t rule out that they are not. Both AI’s created by Tony in two different Marvel universes with similar origins. I think you got it right and the original article got it wrong.

  6. I’ve had to deal with nick Spencer in comics. Now I have Miley Cyrus involved? I quit everything. I just give up

    1. Hey maybe she is a closet comic fan who is super knowledgeable on all things Marvel…HA!, nah this is unfortunately an unnecessary cash grab from the execs at Marvel to get more “kids” into the theaters when there s no need because they are already doing gangbusters!….whatever the hell gangbusters even means.
