Dark Days The Casting #1 is out tomorrow.
It gets into some pretty heavy back story of the DC Universe, more on that shortly, however, looks like Scott Snyder, James Tynion, and Jim Lee may have thrown a nod to, and acknowledged Alan Moore as a creator of the DC Universe by casting him as an immortal in Dark Days The Casting #1.
So what do you think, is Alan Moore a shadowy immortal?

That’s neato, IMO. It had to be an ode to AM. I understand that Alan Moore looks like just about every wizard ever drawn (even Curse Words’ Wizord), that had to be an ode to him. I wonder how Mr. Moore feels about the nod.
I am sure he hates it. But probably doesn’t know.
Its almost as if DC enjoys taunting Moore…
You are missing an enormous reveal there.
First of, no that is not Alan Moore, that is the wizard that gave Shazam his powers. What is a lot more interesting is that Hawkman mentions two brothers that keep secrets and misteries. I’ll save you some time. It’s Cain and Abel from the Sandman.
Have fun.
Thanks for the heads up. This was a more tongue in cheek post. It does look like Alan Moore though.
Later in the issue, the dagger is shown to have the Shazam symbol on it.
That is correct. It is shown in the spoilers where Talia says it contains a portion of the power of Shazam.
is this his 1st appearance?
