Now that I’ve seen some other poison characters, I believe What if? The other. is 1st Poison. Not all the Poison characters are white example Poison Deadpool.
I picked up a NM copy of What if…the Other #1 about two weeks ago for cover price at a LCS.

I got one of my boxes of comics I pre-ordered, and guess what one of the comics I got was? TWD #171 pink signature, I lucked out there. The only thing I’m really looking for tomorrow is anything Metal. I did pick up another set of Realm #1a and b over the weekend. I hope you guys are watching Rick and Morty this is the best season yet.

Does this week’s Invincible #140 have a secret signature variant? I’m curious since its a Kirkman title with the same variant cover artist.
I was going to ask the same thing about Gasolina.
I got the Gasolina b cover and none at my shop had a different coloured signature. For what it’s worth. I have asked my LCS to pull any image titles they get with a different coloured signature.
so I know midtown comic tend to have some signed comics up for cover price at times. What’s the best way to find out what new ones they offer for cover?
I know I got the All-new wolverine #16 for cover or well under due to their discount plus shipping when it was mentioned in article posted here before.
I always look on the weekly lists for books. But you can search by “signed” and sort by newest. From there , you have to scroll down past all the pre-order status ones until you get to the listed ones. Those are the newest.

Honestly think I already have it, but cheaper to buy then take the time to search for it and risk not having it.

Pretty busy last week getting ready for the wedding but that’s over now! It went super well. She actually showed up and our guests had a great time! Pretty sure we cost the venue money due to the flat rate open bar…our families can really put it away!

Nah, she’s good for my comic addiction. It’s my only hobby expense really, and it’s still cheaper than golf. Her brother is a big collector as well so she gets it.
Worst case scenario I’ll have to cut it back to my favourite titles, but I’ll never have to stop unless I choose to.
Keeping the basement all to myself….that likely has a short shelf life.

Ok so I email my LCS in the am to set aside books I may not have on my pull, and I just copy pasta’d it this week. I have this running gag with them about annuals. I hate them. They’re usually a waste of money and rarely does anything to advance the series. Im not crazy about cute little quickies by guest artists etc. BUT… if I don’t get it then there’s a hole in my collection.
Now, I don’t mind out of continuity stories as long as it’s like a one shot (one story per book!) And not some cutesy pointless waste of time.
Just my opinion.
Aquaman Middleton variant was non-existent in my area.. Even Austin Books didn’t have any.. Misbeggoten was hard to come by as well. One shop had them and only 1 x Cover C variant, had about a dozen of the others.
Also one shop had zero Bloodshot Salvation.. I found that odd one shop was completely out, only had enough for subscribers.
Also out of both shops, there was only 1 x Phil Hester cover available (which of course I grabbed).

It’s because it says weapon x in the description. People probably stopped reading there and assumed it’s more weapon h stuff.
Either that or they figure since 22 was valuable 23 must be as well.

I picked up Grrl Scouts Magic Socks 1-4 last week from Jim Mahfood himself. Once I read them, I may pick up #5 out this week. I read the Realm 1 and was not impressed enough to continue the series; I may be in the minority on this one. Berke Breathed is releasing a signed complete Bloom County set for $99 on his website for those of us old enough to remember reading Opus and Bill in the papers. RIP Harry Dean Stanton. My local theater is putting on a HDS festival starting with Repo Man on Saturday.

I’ve filled mine with POP! figure boxes before. Small boxes work great for me though, just empty boxes that almost take up the space but leave a little wiggle room.
That sounds smart but I gave away most if not all my pops not too long ago lol
Gasolina – 2 x ashcan and a bunch of a and b covers.
Dark ark – 1 retailer appreciation and then a few of the a and b covers.
Now have 6 copies of Sink cover A and 3 copies of cover b (all at face value). At the moment the market seems to be flooded with them so I’m going to hold them for a short while.
I’ve sold a few Realm #1 sets but again thinking of holding onto the remainder to see if you does a Calexit. I have 5 copies of the comic quest transilvania cover… again holding those as they were limited to 500 copies.

Bloodshot Salvation (pre-order edition) – an unexpected surprise…came bagged with a separate black + white “not for individual sale” version of just the main story and a few xtra pages on history/biology of Bloodshot + one page editor interview. The reg. color book has a Ninjak # 1 preview and 8 design/commentary pages that the B+W version doesn’t have. Since it was two books for the price of one, I thought it was a no-brainer.
I saw no copies of the Peter Parker – Venomized Aunt May at 4 different shops. I wish I had requested another Shirtless B – great cover. One shop already had the Batman Day HQ books out so I grabbed 2 of each. Two of the stores (same chain) had about 12 copies of the Dark Ark retailer variant…almost more than total A + B covers…I thought it would be more scarce…maybe that’s why Midtown’s price was cover…? Not happy with the condition of some of the DC books lately…lotsa spine dents…especially Flash and TT last week…prefer not to chase minty books!
