    1. I wish it was gonna be a small week for me.. forget just the books I pick up Wednesday, NYCC is gonna chew my wallet up this week.

  2. Looking forward to Slots and I had to pick up the venom 155 Mattina. I love the cover despite months and months of Venom overload.

  3. I’m just organizing some books right now. I’m not sure what I’ll be getting tomorrow or if I’ll even have time. Hope everyone going to NYCC has a great time. Did anyone that ordered Sink #1 from their site get the package yet, if so what kind of shape did it come in?

    4. Yep…ordered 3 sets and all were in great shape. Did NOT pay for the shipping upgrade, either.

    5. Mine were bent. Emailed comix tribe and no response. I’m not gonna stink it up too much as it was 12$.

  6. Hey everyone!
    Been a pretty slow week for me. Not too much to report. Got a few small appliances…it’s nice to make toast without the oven again!
    3D printed a cool bust of Groot at a training session for work the other day. I’ll try to remember to take a pic when I get home and post it for you. It’s pretty cool! Next will probably be the butter robot from Rick and Morty.

    Comic book store about 40 minutes from my house had $2 and $1 book sale last weekend and I went diving for treasures (for about 2 hours straight) and couldn’t believe that I got the following:

  8. I came across an image/sky bound Ashcan at my LCS today called ‘Evolution’. May want to keep your eye out for it today.

    1. I got mine! My LCS puts these straight into my box when they come in, no matter the title.
      Slots had one last week.
      FYI they are 1 per store.
      It’s only worth about $7 Canadian at the moment but hold on to it because in my experience they go up. Gasolina and kill the minotaur are worth trying to sell at this point.

  9. Got most of the B&W Walking Dead tributes at cover price, but the Slots one was sold out so had to settle for the color version.
    A new Punisher MAX series by Garth Ennis? Yes please!
    Went to a small show on Sunday and got a killer commission piece done by Ron Wilson of The Scarecrow. The 70’s Marvel horror hero who was only in 3 books back in the day (Dead Of Night #11), not the 80’s Marvel villain or the DC one

    I think that’s it – didn’t land a Harley/etc. Hughes cover, but it wasn’t on my pull list. But, as I was getting ready to leave, my LCS person said she had one more thing for me, then plopped an Avengers promo photo on the counter. But, after focusing in on the photo (more like an art piece, really), I noticed a signature on the front – Stan Lee! I was just thinking the other day that I would probably never make it to a comic con where he is signing given his age, so a very cool gift/prize from the LCS.

    1. Like I said above (in case you missed it), I’d hold off on selling the ashcan right away. They tend to increase in value over time I’ve noticed. At a minimum, it will always go for the price it’s going for right now and it was free, so worst case scenario you make $7 Canadian.

    2. Not my first rodeo, but thanks. I listed and sold both my Redneck Ashcans a few months ago. I think I got around $60CDN each. I sold my Minotaur last week for about $15, Listed after the media deal was announced. I’ll typically hold an Ashcan until it catches some initial heat. If it gets any heat, sell, sell, sell. I’m holding Slots and Evolution until I hear something regarding these books.

  14. so my LCS sold out of Green Arrow 32 today….the workers were telling me theres been some new collectors in town who have been buying stuff up right when the doors open. Guess this sold out because of The Batman Who Laughs Batmobile….Laughmobile shows up? Is that a really a worthy spec?

    1. Not to me. If it is, I’m calling a quick flip. On all the metal first appearances. I don’t see them sticking around after the event (Full disclosure: Who the hell Am I though? I’m wrong far more often than I’m right, just don’t tell my wife that).
      I passed on this title because I hate green arrow and I already got a ton of extra stuff this week (Halloween mini comics to give out and the marvel lenticukars)

      1. Out of the Batmans revealed so far I can see how Batman Who Laughs has some staying power. But again I’m surprised that a few shops have sold out of it quickly. Like right when doors opened quickly.

      2. I just see this event ending with none of these dark multiverse batmen surviving (or still existing if that’s a better term?) and then a year from now they are mostly forgotten. Again though, who am I? I thought for sure Silk would outlast Spider Gwen (She should have!)

    1. It’s pretty good I agree. Soule is a good writer.
      I would counter though with Infamous Iron Man.
      Dr Doom as Iron Man. How does that not rock?
      Intrigue out the ass. Cool ass mix of tech, and sorcery. Doom is as puzzling as he’s ever been..
      I would consider the art as just ok though, but the stories are so badass. Some of the stuff he does is amazing. Truly an invincible character.
      But this book is killer I think, and I’m shocked it doesn’t get more love.
