  1. Xmen vol2 #8 has been silently blowing up. 1st Bella Donna listed around $20 now not bad for a .50 book a few months ago. There is a couple cheap copies on amazon hint hint.

    1. I got a bunch of those back when it was first announced she would be the female lead protagonist of Gambit. I also grabbed a bunch of the Ghost Rider issue that contains the second chapter of this crossover, to pair them up with. Both issues were super-cheap.

  2. Until the Gambit movie was announced, I never knew that completely-gold cover for Gambit#1 even existed. I wonder if it was ever a more affordable book, they seem pretty scarce. Does anyone know just how few copies are out there; and how they were originally distributed? Were they 1-per-store or something?

  3. i belive the gambit #1 gold was a one per store variant. as was thevenom l.p. #1 and other gold editions of the earily 1990s. so this gambit movie is still happebning. Two other picks worth a pimphand of doom are. uncanny x-men #267&annual #14. I also like the first trade of the mini series as well. Gambit’s first toybiz action figure mint in package is also a decent bet. and if anyone knows the issue where gambit becomes blind please let me know. p.c. issue. love you guys blind adam out

    1. Gambit went blind in X-men (1991) #158. I totally forgot about that era, lol. I am surprised at how little attention Uncanny X-men Annual#14 gets. It was released prior to UXM#266, and has been incorrectly considered a “cameo” for decades, likely due to the fact that the story itself takes place after UXM#266. First appearances are determined by Release Date, not by the story, otherwise Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel would have debuted in Captain Marvel#1 instead of Avenging Spider-man#9; but that’s not how it works. Gambit appears on 9 Pages of Annual#14 and is referred to by name. That is not a Cameo. He isn’t a prominent character in the story, but if someone appears on 9 Pages, it’s a 1st full appearance.
