  1. Store variants rarely keep the value you pay for them upon release. I would suggest,if you really want one of these, that you wait a few months when people are trying to unload their copies at a discount. Or, as Poyo always recommends, skip these store variants and go with cover A, from your local comic shop.

  2. I am boycotting all store variants. Bad on so many levels. The reprinting of recent key issues was the last straw.

  3. Thanos will never allow himself to be covered by a symbiot. This cover did nothing for me to want it. I’ll pass.

    1. I think in the last two issues of the Venomized series Thanos will be Venomized. There is the Thanos #5 Venomized Cover which I could be wrong is the first “ Thanom” or “Venos” or whatever he will be called. Maybe worth a pick up at cover but none of the Venom characters for Venomverse like X23/Venom gained much heat and people had Venom fatigued then too.

      1. Yup, you are so correct on this. I am still surprised the X-23 venomized cover didn’t gain more traction.

      2. If the last two issues of Venomized is the intro of Thanom, then make that the issue to have a store variant. Why the first issue? Stupid.
Of course I bought the Comicxposure ASM #796 because I love the cover…
I buy these variants when I like the cover, but 9/10 times I go for the regular trade dress as I just want the comic, not the investment.

      1. In the Venomized storyline Thanos is the main villain, so on the surface it seems like it doesn’t make sense, but in context of the story, it does.

    2. Well at some point thanos had a symbiote. Since y’know. Venomverse is now cannon and leaching into main marvel continuity via venomized… i liked venom in the last reboot, but marvels beating the dead horse…

  4. Love Parillo! This is fantastic work. I share the sentiment as others. Venom fatigue and done dropping $40 to $100 For 2 or 3 store exclusive covers.
Also, virgin doesn’t seem special. It just reveals the empty space intended for the title. Best of luck to them tho!

    1. I agree…not big on the empty space…unless you’re going for some signatures. Then they have a nice “holiday” for a sketch or those that like to draw big letters/symbols when signing their name.

  5. Besides getting “store variant”/”exclusive” fatigue, this is not Parillo’s best . . . By far. If you can’t take the time to do Thanos well, don’t take the commission.

  6. I’m with the majority here. 1) I roll my eyes with any new “Venomized” cover and 2) Store Variant fatigue.

  7. I’m a huge venom fan but not a fan of the venomized covers. However, I do like this one for some reason. Probably because it isn’t overly venomized. At least one has sold on ebay for 3Xcover. So I may pick one up.
