Comic Picks of the Week for Delivery 3/28/18

Each week tons of new comics hit the stands, each with potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are our picks of the week for delivery 3/28/18:
I mentioned in the new comic spec review video this is a light spec week, but still some good books to grab.
Returning Favorites
Hungry Ghosts #3 – I have been picking these up for the creepy stories inside and the Paul Pope covers on the outside. I am loving it.
Imaginary Fiends #5 – Such a cool concept from Tim Seeley. This mini fits right at home in the Vertigo line.
Beef #2 – Such an awesomely weird take on the Hulk. Check it out.
Saga #50 – I am shooting for the Virgin cover. Love the series and this is a landmark issue.
Sink #5 – Very good read each issue, Spec heat behind it. Worth the pick up every time.
The “I am gonna give it a chance” One
Breathless #1 – I have been off Black Mask books for a while, most of the new ones just haven’t interested me. This one looks like a cool story. I am gonna give it a chance.
For the Covers
Justice League Of America #27 Francesco Mattina Cover (available on eBay) – A killer B Cover. Mattina is worth the pick up at $2.99, even if just for the PC.
The Must Pick Up
Avengers #686 – The Avengers books have been on fire lately and this has been one of the biggest storylines in a long time.
Indy Pick of the Week
Stabbity Bunny #3 (available on eBay) – White hot series from Scout that has had some staying power. Shops keep under ordering it.
The Pick of the Week
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25– Not often Poyo and I are at odds on a book, but trust me, this one will get the Rangers Nation buying the comic. Wait until you see the spoilers.
That is it for this week, let us know what you are spec-ing on. In case you missed it, here is the New Comic Spec Review Video for 3/28/18:

  1. Nope, not gonna buy Power Rangers. Last time there was hype on a book it fizzled quickly. But I hate their chase cover poly bags tactics for people to buy more copies at a chance of a special insert cover… Nope, nope, nope. Not gonna do it, gonna pass them all up, don’t care if they heat up. Nope! 😉
