Dark Horse Series Resident Alien picked up by Sy Fy for show

The Dark Horse comic book series Resident Alien has been picked up Sy Fy for a TV show. Resident Alien first appeared in Dark Horse Presents #4 (2011) before getting its own series with Resident Alien #0.
From Deadline.com:
Syfy has made its first pilot order off its 2018 development slate with Resident Alien, a drama based on the Dark Horse comics series by Peter Horgan and Steve Parkhouse, from Universal Cable Productions, Dark Horse Entertainment and Amblin TV.
Resident Alien is described as a dark, twisted and comedic fish-out-of-water story. Adapted for television by Chris Sheridan (Family Guy), it follows a crash-landed alien named Harry who, after taking on the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor, slowly begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission on Earth — ultimately asking the question, “Are human beings worth saving?”

  1. I remember this being mentioned on CHU years ago. Don’t remember if it was an actual article or just conversation from one of the many awesome members of the CHU community. Picked up, I think two copies of #4….Now I need to dig them out… I really need two “option” boxes…One for all the books in option limbo and the other for those that have actually made the leap into a production phase. The latter will probably be a much smaller box!

  2. sorry for out of thread, but anyone of you know something about peter panzerfaust cartoon adaptation?

  3. sigh… i have 10 original comic arts of peter panzerfaust…..so, anyway them are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!

    1. They art was great. We actually did a story a few years ago mentioning the option expired and that Kurt Wiebe was trying to get s new one going. He got pissed off about it so….

  4. I like this comic – got into it as an Alan Moore fan who picks up $0.25 or $0.50 stuff by Moore collaborators when I spot their names. Parkhouse and Hogan both worked with Moore. The story is fun and clever. There are a lot of Resident Alien comics in cheap bins in Los Angeles… though they’ll probably be harder to find after this announcement.
