Spoilers: Infinity Wars Prime #1, Who Dies and What is Destroyed

Infinity Wars Prime #1 is in stores tomorrow, and is the most insanely cool first issue of an event book I have ever seen. We get the first full appearance of Requiem (who people are speculating is an existing character) we also get a major death and (what looks like) the destruction of something that has been at the core of the Marvel Universe.

First, the solicitation:

Trust us, Marvel Fans – before the INFINITY WARS begin to rage comes this shocking chapter of the cosmic saga that you will not want to miss! The ramifications of this issue will be felt throughout Infinity for years to come! We can say NO MORE!

They can say no more, but we can! The spoiled images have been redacted. The accompanying text has not been. Only read on if you are good with spoilers. Click the spoiler alert to see the redacted images.

What is an Infinity book without an appearance of this guy.

But wait….

Well it is obvious he wouldn’t go down this easily.

And then this happens.

Yup. It is for real.

And to add insult to injury, Requiem destroys the…….

And for good measure, she makes sure it is gone.

So there you go, the death of Thanos and the destruction of the Infinity Gauntlet.

      1. luv ya poyo…yeah, me too, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and ask you to trust me . He won’t be dead long. His love affair with death? Its actually a chance to netflix and chill at her house for once

      1. Yah but I wouldn’t put it past CGR, Thanos, or Cates to find a way to get back to the present 🙂

  1. Lets play a guessing game as to who we all think that Requiem will be revealed to be. I read another guys guess, and he brought up Angela. Yes, THAT Angela (not Bower, besides, we all know Mona was the boss). Interesting theory, imo. Any guesses from anyone else?

      1. the future Gamora or a child of Gamora and Drax or Thanos himself? Hey, norman osborne had twins with Gwen Stacy….

    1. A combination of characters, much like the event itself is designed to be. I have a feeling it will be a big letdown, but that’s just me and am hoping that I am wrong.

      1. I don’t think she’d need a sword or to have to hide her identity. Galactus is her herald, all of that, to me, would seem pointles for a character who’s power level is clearly over 9,000.

    1. I believe there is a panel in these Infinity books where Nebula and Gamora are talking and they refer to Requiem in the 3rd person. May be a hint that neither of them is Requiem. (understood that one could also be misleading the other)
