Inexpensive Variant Alert: Babs Tarr Covers Stranger Things #1

Love them or hate them but store exclusives are here for the time being. One of the nice things is, some stores put out inexpensive variant. In this case, a cover priced one. Babs Tarr, most notable for her many DC covers, is doing an exclusive for the upcoming Stranger Things comic.

The Babs Tarr Exclusive cover is only available at TFAW and in their stores. They are pre-selling them for cover price, $3.99 plus shipping. All in all not a bad price for the book.

The nostalgia-igniting hit Netflix original series comes to comic shelves. Follow Will Byers into a dimension of decay and destruction where he must use his wits and resolve to dodge the pursuit of the Demogorgon and escape the Upside Down.

* Written by award-winning comics veteran Jody Houser (Faith, Orphan Black, Mother Panic).

* Based on Will’s unseen journey during season 1 of hit Netflix show Stranger Things.

    Looks like an Akira homage.
And that’s a great deal for all the foil covers.

I’ve also stopped ordering from tfaw. They basically just toss your comics in an envelope and they are almost always damaged.

I haven’t ordered from TFAW either. Long ago I had some pre-orders setup. Delays on some of those books happened so my credit card on file got renewed and never got updated, so when they finally arrived, it was like a month later that TFAW notified me that the payment was failing. By that time I already picked up such copies locally so I told them to just cancel the order. That’s when they told me I was no longer allowed to pre-order books until I bought 3 or 4 more purchases from them. I haven’t bothered ordering anything since.
