New Comic Spec Review Video for October 10, 2018 NYCC Edition

Anthony from, with Poyo on camera, present this week’s New Comic Spec Review video for 10/10/18. Barring the noise from the cosplay event held right next door to the press booth, as well as a wondering guy Facebook Live-ing himself right into the video, it went off pretty well. Check it out below:

  1. JayClue says:

The Harls Mattina is a must grab for my PC.

  2. Kevin Verdine says:

Great Vid Anthony. Any thoughts on Riptide 3 and a second print variant of #1 as far as spec. I’ve done good on the first 2.

    • Anthony says:

I didn’t get any to sell sadly. The series has been doing well and I hope it continues. Three issues in and retailers may catch on. The second print could be good.

    • JayClue says:

When I used to spec heavy on Indie books, I found the heat will start to die off around issue #3, if it hadnt already by #2. Although, if its a mini, a whole set would be an easy sell.

      • Kevin Verdine says:

I was thinking the same thing jay. May try to flip the #1 second print. But you’re right on the money with indie book spec

  3. Jesus says:

I agree on El Torres. He needs more love. Ever since I read Roman Rituals, I got addicted to his writing. I even went back and got some books he did with IDW (original suicide forest).

  4. Eric R says:

BTW, there is a secret variant for the new Venom title out this week.

I’m sure everyone knows, but you are looking for the base cover where you can see his tongue sticking out. Looks like a 1:10 or 1:15 variant.

    Good hunting!
