If you are going out picking this weekend, here are a couple of cheap books to look for in shops. These are all media related, one based on concrete facts and one based on spec and rumor. Let’s jump in.
First up, the trailer for Umbrella Academy showed up online yesterday and looks good. The show is coming out next year, and if it picks up, people could be looking for the first appearance. Umbrella Academy FCBD
is that go to book. The FCBD comic came out in May of 2007. These were mass printed and can still be found in back issue bins.
Avengers 4 is coming up, images are leaking out. We already know that Pepper Potts will be decked out in the Rescue Armor from Invincible Iron Man #10
. But rumor is going around that there may be another Iron Man armor showing up in the movie. Back in Fear Itself #7 Iron Man merged the Bleeding Edge armor with Uru metal to make the Destroyer Armor. While Googling Avengers #4 leaks, I came across several Youtube videos talking about images of the Destroyer Armor appearing in Avengers 4. This could make sense as Tony Stark will need a tougher armor to take on Thanos, after all, Tony is just a guy with a bad heart in a metal suit. One of the videos linked the armor to War Machine, which could be backed up by the fact that War Machine was just introduced in Marvel Strike Force Video Game. There is a 1:25 variant that is online cheap, like $7 cheap, that features the armor on the cover, as well as a wraparound variant that features the armor on the cover. These could be found cheap if you dig.

You weren’t kidding about that 1:25 variant. Found one in NM for $3 before shipping. $3 for a 1:25 variant with potential spec value? Can’t beat that! Even if the rumor falls flat, that is super cheap and a decent cover as well!
