Apparently DC wants to rival Marvel’s Into the Spider-Verse animated film with one of their own, Batman Beyond.
Batman Beyond is set in a future Gotham with an elder Bruce Wayne and a teenager named Terry McGinnis taking on the duties of Batman after his parents are murdered, convincing the older Bruce someone should step in as a new protector of Gotham.
The animated series which first aired in 1999 until 2001 ran for 3 seasons. It was a follow-up to the popular Batman: The Animated Series. A 4th season was originally announced but was never aired.
There have also been several volumes of Batman Beyond in comic book form. The first in the same year as the animated series which is considered Terry McGinnis’s first appearance in Batman Beyond #1 (1999).
It’ll be interesting to see if this continues to develop. Rumors are it’s slated to start production in early 2020 and a possible release as soon as 2022. By then we’ll likely have 2 more Spider-Verse movies.
You can read more about this from screenrant.com where they also posted the concept art that lead to this discovery, where I also first read about this news.
Update: And just as the news and rumors were taking off, Warner Bros. debunked that a Batman Beyond movie was in the works within 24 hours.
Beware the freebie six flags copy has the same cover with minor differences.
There are actually multiple covers – barcode, Six Flags, free copy with blank white box. A fourth rare cover is out there with no barcode, Six Flags logo, or white box.

Probably
Go with the OG copy with the red DC logo and the bar code box or the limited edition Black DC logo with no barcode box.
