Who is that villain talking to Jean about being special and all…
My initial assumption is it’s the White Queen…Emma Frost…but that has not been confirmed. Any other guesses?
They’ve come out to say she is an alien but not who she is exactly. Shi’ar Empire maybe?
Reading that she is a “shape shifting” alien. Some are guess she is a Skrull since they are both shared by Marvel and Fox. A lot of guessing going on.
It can’t be Emma Frost because she died in Xmen first class.
I believe it’s Oracle first appearance Xmen #107.
The Shi’ar gaurd and the X-Men subsequently clashed once more when the Shi’ar sought to end the threat to the universe posed by the cosmic entity known as the Phoenix, which had assumed the form of X-Men member Jean Grey. As the Guard’s only telepathic member at the time, Oracle was an obvious choice to be one of eight Guardsmen chosen to battle the X-Men. The Guard defeated the X-Men on this occasion, but the mutants were allowed to return to Earth after Phoenix seemingly committed suicide.
And she has the white hair to boot.
There is a shape shifting alien in the 616 that manipulates people and assists with suicide. Mercy. I think she has had white hair at times but not sure on that one. I’m really not too familiar with the character. Bringing her up is a complete guess.
I would personally like to see the Shi’ar introduced especially since Fox is now owned by Marvel. That and phase 4 is going to get very cosmic it would make sense to introduce them unless Disney/ Marvel completely re-boots all Fox properties in the coming years. Then none of the past movies would even matter. Who knows. Has Marvel stated anywhere if they intend to keep properties such as the X-men or Deadpool going and merge them into the current cinematic U in some way?

This one sure has been a long time coming. Seems like it should’ve came out already.
These trailers always give away too much. But I like X-Men, I like the cast and the effects look good. I’m ignoring the bad press and seeing it!

Seriously.. Fox never puts in the work to make a phoenix saga work so my expectations on this are way low in regard to this movie… Be ready to but up those X-Men 101’s and 134’s if this tanks folks!! Someday Marvel just might do this right…
I thought it looked horrible just like the last one Age Of Apocalypse. I do give McAvoy props for his Patrick Stewart impression.
They are really leaning on that Jean kills Raven here in this trailer. Most likely a redirection, but who knows…
It’s so they don’t have to pay Jennifer Lawerence her $20 million dollar fee for a whole movie, kill her in the beginning and give her $5 million for her two scenes.
Kinberg confirmed Mystique does indeed die at the beginning of the movie. Worth the price of admission alone to me.
