Spoilers Amazing Spider-Man

Amazing Spider-man #18 is in stores tomorrow. Last we saw Spiderman he had a vision of a bloodied Mary Jane lying on the floor at what seemed like, the fault of Spider-man himself. This issue sees Spider-man still fighting the animal themed villains, but checks in on MJ too.

The real action doesn’t take place between Kraven and Spidey, but in MJ’s apartment.

After all the dancing, it is time for MJ to nap, but….
She feels something.

Which turns out to be….

MJ, always the good girl disposes of it humanly.

So it is nap time all over again, and the source of the creepy crawlies…

Our mystery villain from Amazing Spider-man #1 (2018), we know he knows all about Peter’s life.

  1. Thanks as always for these spoilers! I wait for them every Tuesday night 🙂

Loving this villain… I have a few of the free behind the scenes sketch variants of that ASM #1 he first appears in. It scans as a different book though and the inside is basobasic just sketches, but he does appear in it as well. Wonder if those will have any value if this villain gets big.

    1. thats a good point. i have one also with the spiderman colored by jeff balke. think ill get it signed by spencer in kc this weekend

      1. R.C….please ask Spencer if I should keep subscribing, beginning to wonder if my Spidey loyalty is getting the best of me. Thanks in advance for playing sardonic on my behalf!

  2. I really just wish they had started off this volume with the current arc. The entire first… 12?14? Issues felt like unneccesary filler to get the audience into the flow of spencer/ottley, only to be interrupted by that horrid guest artist.

It really did play out like a sitcom, rather than a game of thrones episode where something relevant happens withing each segment.

    1. ( waving a church fan)…oh Amen my brother. ASM fan since mid 80s and Im about ready to drop this title if they dont get their sh!+ together. Ottley needs to keep drawing or just give up and let Plastic Man Spidey Ramos and others to F it up. I will never come around to Ramos Spidey no matter how hard editor Nick L. claims he is a spidey legend. I challenged Nick to start a poll of best artists to do Spidey to see if he stands behind this legend jibba jabba….crickets. Figured. Talk is cheap Nick and Marvel has sycophants ( I personally like boot lickers but wanted to use proper English) for advisors.

  3. Let’s not start deabating the Merritt of artists and writers who shape Peter Parker’s live. I havent read asm since the end of superior. Picking it up again because I love story’s with Kraven involved in them.

    1. Thats the difference between my opinion and yours Mike, I actually have been in this saddle since the first hyped issue promising Ottley and never mentioning Ramos, then getting # 6-10 and others with him. I can debate merits all I want as long as Im spending the money and reading it. I love the First Ammendment!!

  4. Based on the slow build up to this new villain, what are people’s thoughts on snagging or holding onto the Amazing Spider-Man #1 Greg Horn Ultimate variant due to the first appearance? If this villain really pops I’m thinking this will be the copy to have based on the print run (only 200)… or is it possible this new villain is someone from Spidey’s past which means we’ll all be chasing down the first appearance of said “past” person in back issues from years past. LOL!!
