Spoilers: Immortal Hulk #16 Part 2 The Good Parts

We posted the spoilers for Immortal Hulk #16 that CBR put out (Marvel Approved Ones) earlier today. It was an interesting look at the book. But, it missed all the good bits. Here are the good bits that make this book spec-worthy.

So Hulk is having some issues.

Seems the 1:25 Variant  cover image makes more sense.

Sampson seems curious.

But not sure he is ready for the answer.

They are looking for Rick Jones, his Gamma radiated friend. He finds gamma, but not Rick Jones.

And while all this is going on a detective and McGee are talking. The detective found…

Red feathers…

Like a red eagle…. or…

People were guessing Betty could have been Red She-Hulk, or Harpy…. BUT could she be Red She-Harpy??

Oh yeah, Hulk, having that problem again…..

Brought on by….

But the Hulks are only Immortal at night…

Oh…

And Bruce Banner too!

I was wrong… He Fixit for me…

There you go, the good bits, the Harpy we get, not the one we were expecting. Banner is back, but inhabited by Joe Fixit.

  1. The Gamma critters are gamma so that means they’re not really dead for good either like everything else Gamma right? Is this the 1st Gamma Critters or have they been around before?

    1. I saw the gamma critters when flipping through the issues of Incredible Hulk Vol 2 14-19 last night. It might be issue 19.

      1. That’s great news. Hopefully they’ll be back and used against other than Hulk types like Thor’s dog Thori who appears to be an Avenger now.

  2. Anyone seen (and I kid you not) the 2nd print store variant for IH #16. It’s a In Hyuk Lee sketch variant sold through TCM and it’s partner sites (Mutant Beaver comics in Canada). It’s essentially a Joe Fixit portrait cover. Speculative because of Lee’s art and the foreshadowing of Joe Fixit’s return.

    1. Sold out from Sad Lemon and Amorphousink in 5 minutes.

I joined the amorphousink Facebook page and was able to secure one copy using a passcode through that. But the public sale kept coming back with “must order in quantities of 20” even though there was a 3 book limit. By the time that error cleared up and I was entering my payment info, copies sold out and were “stolen” from my cart!

At least I got one. We’ll see how this shop variant compares to the 1:25 cover on the after market.

        1. Given there were only 500 copies to go around including graded copies, each shop had very limited quantities. Didn’t know comicmint had them.

            1. That’s upsetting that they didn’t send me a notice. I thought maybe they drop you after a year of no orders, but when I entered my email hey said I was already subscribed.

Either way, sounds like the Mint wasn’t the way to go.

I only got a Sad Lemon email, and their message made it sound like they were the only ones offering it:

“WITH ALL THE SPECULATION ABOUT FIRST APPEARANCES IN IMMORTAL HULK #16 WHEN WE HEARD THEY WERE DOING A SECOND PRINT WE KNEW WE HAD TO DO A COVER

AND THOUGHT IT WAS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY TO USE THIS IN HYUK LEE SKETCH AND TO ALSO MAKE THIS A SUPER LIMITED EXCLUSIVE”

I didn’t think to look for other sites as I got no other notices and it was so limited in qty until a couple hours before the sale started. Came across amourphus ink…but it provided no details. Went to their facebook page and it’s private…joined the group and there was a private sale code to order just 1. Used that but also tried their regular site which had glitches galore when thre sale started. But a lot were trying to buy 3 and therefore got none. I secured the one copy with the code first.

  3. This is the best run I’ve read since Court of Owls……Lots of IH 347 sold yesterday…..If you have any, the window to sell might be here or coming up soon.

  4. This cover A for Immortal Hulk #16 by Alex Ross is great. To me the Hulk looks grayish on the moon. I think this cover speculates gray. White grey moon and green afterall, is grey. At the end of the story we get Joe. What do you guys think?

    1. There are going to be a lot of these collecting dust on shelves. I actually prefer the 1:25 cover over this.

If it wasn’t for the solid story, I’d say marvel was trying to screw this title up…

  5. Don’t forget outside of Hulk #1 (1962) the first modern appearance of the Grey Hulk is Incredible Hulk #324. About two years before the first Mr. Fixit in issue #347. It isn’t an expensive comic at all even in high grade. With all the craziness going on with Hulk spec it may be good to pick up an issue or two. A little under appreciated if you ask me.

  6. Same! Didnt get a copy of the Hyunk Lee variant. I had it on my cart from MBC but, silly me for trying to get a couple more and by the time I could check out, you know the rest. Unknown Comic Books and Comics Elite are having there 2nd print variant as well. Take a look at their cover! They may be speculating something something. What’s more dangerous than the Hulk? Wolverine!
