The Diamond Comics Advance Reorder List is a great speculator tool. It shows what books retailers are going back to get more of, in advance of their release. They are actually putting their money up betting these books get big. These are the books people are talking about in shops, message boards, and websites. Pretty big week for reprints. Books you would expect to show up being reordered to fill demand, Immortal Hulk and Naomi both represent well on this list. I have no idea what is going on in Uncanny X-Men anymore but do like this cover.

It looks like “Savage” Venom will get a cover appearance in the reprint most likely and it’s nice to see Immortal madness hasn’t ended but HOW can there possible be a demand for a 3rd Printing of 16? The 2nd Printing should have been a huge print run of throwaway copies from people chasing the Second Printing Qty Variant.
Hmm. I third print 1:25 variant announced.
But not for #16. Who’s going to want 16 Third Printings when so many Seconds are laying around without a 3rd printing of the qty variant to go along with it? No cover scans revealed yet so maybe by Monday some will show. I’m not ordering Venom #13 prior to FOC unless they show the cover. That and I’ve got 140 copies of the First Printing arriving today so no need at present either.
I thought we “demanded” it because the 2nd printing sold “so well!” ?
I never looked until just now but apparently IH#16 Second Printing is now sold out at Diamond. Maybe there is a need from some shops who didn’t buy the Second. Here’s a list of the only IH issues still in stock at Diamond right now.

DCeased #2 is on my list of looking forward to and probably jumping the qty more. 5,000 copies of a DC comic coming in today with my first full page back cover add and it’s not even the DC issue I’m most interested in reading or most excited about. DCeased #1 I can finally read this afternoon without all the squiggly lines and #’s all over it from the advance PDF.
Did I read that right, the back cover page is going to be your own full page ad for DCeased #2?
No, the Back Cover of DC’s Year of the Villain #1 along with store logo on the front aka Poopoo’s first cover appearance. her full name is Bamfirella McPoopoo Price, she turns 5 soon. I’m just actually more excited to finally get my hands on a paper copy of DCeased #1 than the comic I ordered 5,000 of.
Nice.
She gets her picture taken with something all the time like she’s a Price is Right model. 3 pounds of employee of the month every month. She loves to help people shop.

I think I’m looking forward to this add more than the books this week. I have no idea what shop you own…but if you’re ordering 5000 of anything and taking out full page adds it must be huuuuge!
In terms of what’s sold huge in the past Batman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III comes out today but I can’t swear it’ll ever be spec worthy. The cover to Cosmic Ghost Rider with the Phoenix flame bird looks awesome even though I’ve never read any of the stories so far. Savage Avenger’s #1 could go huge with Conan and Wolverine mixing it up even though Savage Venom doesn’t show up yet. There’s multiple Battle Line variants that look great. War or realms we have hope for but low expectations so we don’t get disappointed. Pop Batman 80th, DC Gallery Joker, Supergirl and Bane and Marvel Gallery Spider-man round out the best modeling opportunities for the week prior to the Black Suit Spiderman figure for FCBD.
Any store could have ordered 5000 copies of DCYOTV. It was only a quarter book to begin with so it’s not really break the bank level investing. We’re sending a couple thousand or more to the local paper as advertising inserts to give away for free. I packaged enough variant bundle sales to cover a good chunk of the cost of getting it in the door. That Batman Who Laughs 500 Qty variant should be huge quickly and the Cheetah 100 Qty Variant could go big closer to the wonder woman movie she’s appearing in. 4 more bundles left to sell plus leftover 250 and 100 qty variants
I haven’t read it yet but UPS is rolling 18 boxes in the door right now. For once it would be nice if DC would have included something inside the book to make it spec worthy. I’ll know soon. Poopoo’s gone to get the roll cart to start moving boxes.
It wasn’t as good as DCeased #1 but DC Year of the Villain is going to be big. Was that first Leviathon?
