  1. Finally, a spec book I can get behind. Gonna try to add to the two copies I had my LCS pull for me. Might have to do some hunting at other shops…

      1. Yeah I have a few of those too since it was billed as a new romantic interest for Miles. I like the first full / cover more for spec though, and have a feeling it will be tougher to find.

  2. I wonder if the Cobra Hypnotist, Crystal Ball, is Starlings uncle or great uncle, because Starling looks like she has the same tailor.

    1. #5 is a cameo IMO. #6 is first full /cover/and perhaps a partial ? origin. The Vultures daughter…wth?!? Plus Miles has an obvious crush on her so she doesn’t appear to be a throwaway character.

      1. Agreed. Think this ends up being aHulk 180/181 if the character takes off.

Though IMO, I think 5 would be the harder book to get. I don’t imagine people knew she was appearing in 5, but after 5 was released and knowing 6 would likely be the first full, probably bought in more for 6.

        1. That is assuming people actually read the comics. Considering NOBODY had “First/Cameo Starling” posted on their listings for #5 until today, and NOBODY was pushing #5 until today, l highly doubt that LCS were upping their orders for #6. The print run for #4 was around 30k, I expect #5 to be approx the same. I do not think #6 will have an obvious spike. If you like the character and believe this will be Miles’ “Mary Jane” love interest then buy both books. I just want to read more about her origins as the daughter of that “old white guy” Vulture. LoL

          1. It was definitely brought up on some spec sites back in February when Ahmed first tweeted about it. You just have to be following the right people.

            1. Well, nobody seemed to care. You can buy 25 #5’s at below cover at Midtown if you are so inclined. I hope we get to see the character again soon in the series.

        2. Always bet on first cover appearance when two firsts are being debated. Print run makes no difference unless one is multiples of the other….even then sometimes it don’t (ASM 300 vs. 299 for example).

  3. Hi guys! I like this book for many reasons.. Low print run. Standout cover A appearance, nobody wants the B cover.. (POYO is loving this)That’s approx 20k print run just cover A. She’s a SUBSTANTIAL character with a clear first full, costume, name, origin, cover, etc.I also like that she’s a HERO. Also it’s SPIDERMAN, it’s a big deal. I also like the possible love interest angle with Miles. Lastly, she’s an awesome empowered young black female and simply just a cool character I want to get to know.. Checks all my boxes for a successful speculation. Be well everyone..
