  1. Korvak, huh? Others I would rather see as the main bad guy but we will see how it all goes down. Have a VG copy of Giant Size Defenders #3 I got years back for a less than $5. Doubt I will upgrade. Moon Knight deserve a movie.

    1. I must admit I accidentally bought Defenders Giant Size #3 way back when because I thought that was the Ironman 3 villain 1st appearance.

    2. I don’t know why they’ve waited this long for Korvac. I’ve been talking it up and stocking up since before the 1st Guardians movie. It’s the biggest Avengers/Guardians crossover story of the 70’s. The ending directly led to the Contest of Champions where the Gamemaster was trying to win his brothers life back and even though that got delayed by the Olympic boycott and later broken up into Marvel’s first Mini Series, and even though they completely screwed up the ending by not being able to do simple amth even with the extra couple year the Olympic delay provided resulting in a story that played out as a 2 to 2 tie with no winner got announced as 3 to 1 and led to another crossover in two avengers annuals and even a cell phone game recently.
Huge historical storyline that has to be adapted at some point involving the MCU’s two biggest teams.

    1. And throw in an Oompa Loompa and a goose that lays a golden egg too while you’re at it…

      1. I think you are thinking of DC and Warner, Jeff. ? The last Marvel movie, Endgame, was incredible. And I expect the next Marvel movie, Spider-Man FFH, to be the same. Marvel is going still going strong in the cinema.

        1. What’s the worst Marvel movie Hulk, Cap Marvel, Thor 2, Antman 2, Ironman 3, Cap 1 ? Probably in that order for me. I don’t think I’ve stayed awake for all of Hulk the 4 times I’ve tried to watch it. I did enjoy Thor 2 I know a lot of people hate it same with Antman I love em a lot dislike them. I use to dislike Captain America first Avenger the most but after furthering of the story with other Cap and Avenger movies it’s a lot better movie.

  2. I would love to see Moon Knight get a series. So much interesting aspects of that character that really need a well thought out series versus a quick hit movie.

    1. I agree. A well thought out series, one that explores not only Moon Knight fighting bad guys but his multiple personalities and his issues which can’t just fit into a 2 hour movie.

      1. Anthony on a diff topic…. do you use Gemini mailers or Uline Kraft? If Kraft which code do you use? I know this has been talked about before but I got to go 100% to these. Lately I’ve had too many getting damaged.

        1. I actually use knockoff Gemini from matt’s baseball. I pay about 40 cents each shipped for 100 boxes. They are thicker than Gemini.

        2. I need to do a write up on how I ship and mail comics. The only shipping supply I have to buy is tape. I’ve never had a comic damaged with my packing techniques.

          1. It’s not complicated. Place a piece of cardboard cut to the size of a backer board down. Bag and board at least the first and last comic placing them front cover to front cover in a stack. Add another piece of cardboard on top cut to the size of a backer board. Seal that in a bag with a little tape to snug it enough to prevent the comics from sliding around and to leave it sealed and waterproof. Using a flattened box, mark the height of the stack and trim off a piece of double thick cardboard. Tape that all the way around the edges securely so the entire side walls are now padded from the double thickness and the stack is stiffened from bending. Cut four more pieces for the corners and tape on so they’re now triple thick with the bumpers added.

Total cost is nothing but the cost of the tape. Final thickness determines what it ships in whether it’s 1 comic or almost 100.
Entire packing process only takes a few minutes and ensures nothing short of the Hulk could damage it.

Even better, when the customer opens it, it only takes a couple seconds to cut along the center and the entire thing pops open with the books already in the order the invoice had them in so it’s a breeze to check an order in. None of that scrambled up two books in a single dingy board and bag nonsense.

I mass produce the basic pieces ahead of time so there’s no delay to order processing. Diamond’s boxes they ship comics in work out great. The double boxes flaps cut into top and bottom boards easily. what’s left is used for the double thick side walls. For envelope shipments the single Diamond comic boxes get cut into space fillers to wrap around all that in envelope orders to further protect the comics.

No waste, no expense and I’ve never seen a better protected shipment that could be opened in seconds as easily.

            1. Here’s a Priority Mail Legal Flat Rate Envelope which also provides room for a couple full size sheets of newspaper crumpled on each end further protecting it.

          2. If a seller of comics can not figure out how to safely ship their comics, I dont think an article or video is going to help those lost souls. I would say the difficulty level of shipping comics safely is on par with making a PB&J sandwich. M2c. I do understand that some sellers just dont care, but again, nothing is going to help those people.

            1. Yup, it boils down to two things…. Either they dont care and chance it or seriously dont have a clue on how to pack to secure the goods.

              1. For 3 years I might of had 2 that got bent up. Now for some reason I’ve had 5 in the last 2 months. I’ve changed nothing. I just like to get ideas from others. Y’all sound like my way or the highway. I thought this was a community not a judge and jury. This place is starting to be one big Debbie downer. What’s the fucking point of even asking anymore?

                1. Oh, I’m not judging you. I was replying to Jay Clue about those sellers that put zero effort into packing securely. I was only going to share how I pack cause I dont spend squat on those comic mailers myself.

                2. Hey Kevin. I don’t think anyone was making comments on your shipping. I think they were all talking about the eBay sellers that just put a comic unsecured in a bubble envelope and send them out on a wing and a prayer. I once ordered a very expensive old horror magazine that the seller put in a cereal box (taped to the cover at that) and just put a mailing label on it. Had to shake my head on that one and put through for a full refund. (The tape pulled off parts of the cover, it was heart breaking). Again, I don’t think anyone was commenting on your shipping skills but just that there are horrible sellers out there who don’t know how to ship.

                3. My comment was in no way directed at you or your question, Kevin. My comment was a remark about sellers who dont put any effort, or are just clueless towards how they shop their books. Like the guys who ship a book in an envelope with no cardboard. ?‍♂️

                4. Ideas is what I was trying to give you. it’s very easy to package a comic in a manner that makes it virtually indestructible and waterproof. here’s a picture of a sealed pack getting the sides marked so the pieces could be trimmed and applied double thick. One quick easy motion with a pen or pencil then cut along the line.

I use Diamond boxes now since I have an endless supply and the piece comes out the length needed for orders up to Silver Age Size with almost no waste. Since I’m cutting from the middle of the box and not the flaps it stays together in one double thick piece while being taped.

                5. Here’s another look at a cutter I found at the flea market for $5 I use to trim all my cardboard pieces ahead of time and a side cut pair of metal snips I got from Home Depot cheap to make cutting cardboard easy and fast. Less than $20 for both about 8 years ago now.

  3. Eternals #2 is still a little undervalued in my opinion. Yeah, it is the first Celestials, which will be huge after the movie franchise is released but it is also the first Ajak. Note much has been said about Ajak joining the cast of Eternals in the Movie that I can find so far but he is a huge part of the franchise I can’t see them not using him. Maybe he will appear in a sequel but I think it is inevitable that we see Ajak in the MCU.

  4. So I read the supposed Captain Marvel 2 Korvac leak from the UK tabloid Mirror and it’s all baloney. Is that a nice way of saying hot garbage? It’s from Reddit by a notoriously wrong writer to begin with. It starts out by saying the sequel will take place between Captain Marvel 1 and Endgame, no sh*t Sherlock. Basically says Captain Marvel 2 will be the same exact movie as Captain Marvel 1 with the Kree Skrull War and have Korvac in the same roll as Yon Rogg. Can’t believe this bs places a book in the top 20. Origally from Reddit reported by a UK tabloid Mirror can’t make this stuff up.

    1. The fun of comic book speculating! Once a rumor takes root and gets popular all the cheap copies disappear, usually in a day or less, then those who miss out on the cheapo copies get the fomo fever and start buying at what would have been thought an unrealistic price just a few days prior. That’s why it is always good to get in cheap n early, sell high and sell before a rumor is proven wrong…unless it is a sure thing, but that is another fun part of the game…trying to figure out what those “sure things” are. Gotta love it!!!…I’m still not sold about Korvac.

      1. You can still get the trade of the Korvac Sage cheap at many stores from Marvels sales the last few years. There is no bigger Avengers/Guardians story from the 70’s and it’s got a little Romeo and Juliet type tragedy at the ending to boot. I’ve already mentioned how it directly leads to Contest of Champions. Almost every major player has already been introduced into the MCU now. How can they NOT adapt a version of it to screen?

        1. Now you have me thinking what if they introduce both Carina (Collectors daughter) and Voyager ( Grandmasters daughter) at the same time for the story. They’re basically cousins since their fathers consider themselves brothers. Another take on potential sibling rivalry like the Nebula/Gamora one already in progress and more fodder for an A-force movie. If you’re going to have all the ladies get together to save the day it would seem to make sense to have some more cosmic female heavies for them to be up against. They could drag this whole story out/develop it across multiple movies to a big everyone shows up for ending visual treat like in the Korvac Saga. I can’t think of a Marvel storyline with a bigger cast prior to Contest of Champions than the Korvac Saga in Avengers 174 to 176. Even Carol Danvers made the cover of Avengers 176.

Now back to daydreaming while we cook the Hamburger Helper.
