CovrPrice Top Ten Selling Comics For 7/19/19

Since Covrprice.com  came on the scene, they have become a go to spot for watching eBaytrends on comics. They scour thousands of eBay sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow)

Also note that top ten list is tabulated by previous week’s sales.

#1 Reaver #1 (Image, 2019) this new title is getting lots of praise and sold 96 copies, had a 7-day trend of 226% and had a high raw sale of $30.

#2 Marvel Comics Presents #6 (Marvel, 2019) is still selling REALLY well and sold 109 copies, had a 7-day trend of 87% and had a high raw sale of $85.

#3 Paper Girls #1 (Image, 2015) has a full series order from Amazon. With that confirmation, fans felt they had to move on copies ASAP. It sold 56 copies, had a 7-day trend of 159% and had a high sale of $143 for a CGC 9.8.

#4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #95 (IDW, 2019) is going to be selling for a while. This super hot issue sold 62 copies, had a 7-day trend of 125% and had a high sale of $110 for a CGC 9.8.

#5 Wolverine and Captain America: Weapon Plus #1(Marvel, 2019) This was a surprise entry as it flew completely under our radars (Well, except to CHU readers who saw the spoilers for Weapon XXX). It sold 47 copies, had a 7-day trend of 137% and had a high raw sale of $10.

#6 Captain Atom #42 (DC, 1990) features the FIRST appearance of Death in the DCU (or “an aspect of Death”). Last week, we mentioned that Action Comics #894 was the first. Apparently, it’s not. It was the first APPROVED use by Neil Gaiman and marked the more modern-day version of the character. With this news of Captain Atom #42’s importance, it sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 498% and had a high raw sale of $90.

#7 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #51 (IDW, 2015) has slowed a bit and sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 212% and had a high raw sale of $53.

#8 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #95 Eastman Variant – (IDW, 2019) The Eastman variant is also slowing for #95 as it sold 37 copies, had a 7-day trend of 127% and had a high raw sale of $30. However, maybe copies are just drying up?

#9 Marvel Comics Presents #5 (Marvel, 2019) is surprisingly still selling. We thought this would disappear after the first week. It definitely hasn’t and sold 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 92% and had a high raw sale of $53.

#10 The Walking Dead #190 (Image, 2019). The end of The Walking Dead sent latecomers scrambling to read the full end arc, starting here. It sold 53 copies, had a 7-day trend of 77% and had a high raw sale of $15.

Runners-Up to follow.

  1. I picked up 2 x Reaver this week. My local shop had a nice stack of them still available.. (and can you believe it, still at cover price too).

56 copies of Paper Girls? I think 9 of those were mine I listed and sold. 🙂

  2. I used to have that Captain Atom. Bought it eons agol when Wizard listed it as a pick for the same reason.
