SDCC Buzz: She Could Fly in Development at AMC

One of the greatest things about San Diego Comic Con is the comic book options. Here is the first official one. Dark Horse strikes first with She Could Fly which is in development at AMC.

Prices are starting to go up on She Could Fly #1 following the news of the development deal.

Just announced at the Berger Books panel at San Diego Comic-Con International, She Could Fly by Christopher Cantwell and Martín Morazzo is in development at AMC. Karen Berger, who founded DC’s recently-shuttered Vertigo imprint and now oversees Berger Books, will co-executive produce the film alongside Cantwell and Dark Horse Publisher Mike Richardson.

More details are forthcoming on the film adaptation of She Could Fly. Read on for the solicit text from the comic series’ first arc, which was collected in a TPB in March of this year.

An unknown woman flying at fantastic speeds and spectacular heights suddenly explodes mid-air. No one knows who she was, how she flew, or why. Luna Brewster, a disturbed 15-year-old girl, becomes obsessed with learning everything about her while rumors and conspiracy theories roil. Will cracking the secrets of the Flying Woman lead to the liberation of her troubled mind?
