As promised, the Runners-Up list, think of these as the second part of the Top 20. Now then, on to #11-20.
#11 What If…? #4 (Marvel, 1989) So, with the Venom symbiote merging with the Hulk, collectors NEED to have the first appearance that this has ever happened… which was in this issue (out of continuity). It sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 115% and had a high raw sale of $24.99.
#12 Spider-Man #1 Coipel Premiere Variant (Marvel, 2019) This was a hot book this week and this variant sold the most with 63 copies, had a 7-day trend of 51% and had a high raw sale of $35. Stores tend to mark these up in price, so consider yourself lucky if you found one below $15.
#13 Uncanny X-Men #1 Gabriele Dell’Otto(Marvel, 2013) Phew! We get to say GOLD BALLS one more time. This is the variant for Mr. Ball’s first appearance. Man, this is never going to get old. It sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 286% and had a high raw sale of $31.99. (psst… Gold Balls)
#14 Batman #78 Clay Mann Variant (DC, 2019) This B cover received some light love and sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 104% and had a high raw sale of $9. It pretty much sells for cover price.
#15 Absolute Carnage #3 Stegman Codex Variant (Marvel, 2019) People seem to really like this Codex Red Goblin variant as it sold 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 56% and had a high raw sale of $37.75.
#16 Something Is Killing The Children #1 Jenny Frison Variant(Boom! Studios, 2019) This BOOM book is really hanging in there. It sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high raw sale of $20.
#17 Powers of X #4 Character Decades Variant (Marvel, 2019) Decade covers very rarely do well. BUT, this is Greg Land drawing Rogue… so it sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 115% and had a high raw sale of $22.
#18 House of X #5 Huddleston Variant (Marvel, 2019) Obviously, a House of X book HAS to be on this list. This series is just pure fire right now (literally… on this cover… there’s fire… nevermind). It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 151% and had a high raw sale of $15.50.
#19 Batman The Long Halloween #1 (DC, 1996) Rob Patty’s Batman film is rumored to use this classic Bat story. We’ve passed over SOOOOO many in $1 bins of past. With just a rumor, the market cautiously sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 203% and had a high raw sale of $65.
#20 House of X #3 (Marvel, 2019) We fizzle out this runner-up with a completely pointless commentary on this as you already know “House” and “Powers” are hot. It sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 90% and had a high raw sale of $12.
