    1. Sorry. Normally I spend about three hours with the new books reading them all. Couldn’t do it tonight. If you go to the forum you can do requests on the Curses! Spoiled Again posts drogio puts up. Forum.comicsheatingup.net

        1. I thought it was a slow week! My sources didn’t lend me much to get excited about.

Also was on travel last week and was getting ready for surgery in a few days…I’m going to b useless to my wife and kids (more-so than normal) for a while and have things to knock off the list before the cold weather sets in.

I know I know…excuses….just git’er dun. It’ll be back next week…. probably be on this thing a lot as I’ll be bored and immobile…

          1. To be honest, I wasn’t that excited either about this week. I knew Batman Beyond was gonna be a possible hit.. the Marvel Action Spider-Man variant was a surprise once the cover was released..

            1. I thought it was another quiet week too. So quiet, in fact, that I agreed to work my real job today instead on Wednesday Warrioring. 1st Wednesday in probably 2 years that I haven’t made it to my LCS’ on Wednesday. Wrong again, J. ☹️

  1. Picking up:
    Rat Queens 19
Money Shot 1 Mirka Andolfo cover
    Swamp Thing Giant 1

    Picked up:
Marvel Super Heroes Winter Special 8 (I made the mistake of originally buying a “newsstand copy” where back in the day the newsstand just added a UPC sticker. The grading company dinged it heavily due to the sticker. I got out of that copy and picked up a non-newsstand copy last week. I’ve noticed eBay sellers promoting newsstand copies. Don’t fall for it.)
I also picked up a few Avatar the Last Airbender GNs that recently came out.

    Notes:.
I have my eye on a golden age CBCS graded book I have wanted for a while. I recently missed out on an 8.0 and a 6.0 is available. They don’t come up very often in any grade but most collectors hold out for a better grade. I am thinking I’ll see how the comic swap goes on November 2 to determine if I want to put money towards it.

  2. My shop had one Batman Beyond cover A and it was pretty dinged up.

Wondering what others are finding…could be a tough find in 9.8 grade with that black cover…

  3. Pick ups this week:

Batman Beyond #37 (2 copies)-this is the supposed hot book this week, but people might want to look at Batman Beyond #36. There is a character that appears in last few panels of the book (cameo?). Let the arguments begin….

Star Wars #73 (Action figure variant)

    Spec pick ups this week:
Was able to find out in the wild three Wildstorm TPB for $6 each (Freddy vs Ash vs Jason, Friday the 13th book two, and Nightmare on Elm Street)-very cool books from 2007-2008 and hard to find

Next Men #14 ($2)-FOMO for supposed cameo for Hellboy before Next Men #21

    Good hunting everyone.

    1. I have Next Men #14 from my childhood. When I got back into collecting, about 4-5 years ago, I found a run of Next Men #1-#20 in my long boxes. Of course I stopped reading at issue #20. ?

    2. I have the floppies off the Wildstorm horror comics. Should have grabbed more in hindsight but was grabbing anything Freddy/Jason related at that time.

  4. picked up tec and immortal hulk from my pull box. I was going to look for BB 37, but there were over 40 active listings by 9am (cst) and only 15 copies sold on ebay. I haven’t looked again, but I bet there are more sellers than buyers on this one. I picked up a run of Star Wars: Jedi vs Sith 1-6 for the same cost of 2 copies of BB 37 so I’m good with that.

    1. Batman beyond 37 was a ghost in all 3 shops i went to. I got to my regular one at opening, zero copies. Second shop said he had special ordered ONE for a guy. Third shop zilch. Found B cover online at a 4th LCS.
Did not realize MA: Spiderman was having that variant.
Got both A and B money shots though. D

      1. Not many actually have it in their pull. I’m the only one I think who regularly posts in these forums. And I just have been getting them for the B covers which have been pretty consistently good. I haven’t had time to read then, but it is my intention.

Had to get the A cover this week though. There was a cool homage A cover to Batman 251 (issue 26)…check it out. Accidentally bought multiple copies of that one!

  5. Holy cow, how about that Marvel Action Spider-Man 10 variant? Breaking the $100 barrier.

Meanwhile the regular copy, which typically is a 8500 print run, is still cover. It’s not a bad cover…

1:10 variant is pretty sweet though.
