Oh snap. #25 B cover has really gone up in price. #36 is also first cameo and its doing really good price wise.
Interestingly enough my cover B variant of issue 25 is still the high sale this week at $23 plus shipping. That’s a low print run cover, and it’s art is much better than the foil,..damn, maybe I should have kept it! It had a few spine dings though…Foils were ordered in high numbers because….well,..it was a special foil!
Ah 37, the “cameo” as pumped out by Krap Collector….but it has no cameo in it.
I mean 36, not 37.
36 was the person in the shadow running off with the costume. The hooded figure.
I thought it was just them opening the door or vault to the suit.. doesn’t even show them running off. I could be mistaken though. I don’t even had the issue in hand to verify, only what I recall online spoilers screenshots.
There is a cameo….but it’s not a first appearance cameo.
The cameo in #36 won’t be the winner. #25 and #37 will be the winner books I think. #40 will see some love this seek but sell fast, I anticipate it cooling off sooner rather than later.
Agreed.
Here are some stats from Comichron:
Batman 25:
24,200 sales in 10/18
1,050 additional sales in 10/19
Batman 37:
1st print 18,500 sales
2nd print 1,500 sales
Basically, BMN 37 2nd print is the lowest print variant out of 25 and 37, most likely,,,yet everyone is chasing the highest print runs…
Sometimes his hobby doesn’t make much sense…?
Keeps things interesting though…
Use to be 2nd and additional printings were not sought after ever… everyone wants a first printing. It’s not the hobby to me that doesn’t make sense, it’s demand that doesn’t make sense at times.
If the B cover was the only cover for 37, and the 2nd print was new art….that 2nd print would be gold.
Gold, Jerry! Gold!!
Yeah…. Additional prints with new cover art do seem to attract more demand when the issue heats up with firsts in them.
That is interesting
My guess is Batman beyond 37 should be worth more than Batman beyond 25.because of lower supply. Time of publication difference is insignificant when in months instead of years. Although second print is rarer, identical cover hurts demand.
