sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow, and, these results are for auction that closed last week. )
1. NEW MUTANTS SPECIAL EDITION #1 – Rumors are Mist of the Valkyries will appear in the MCU. This is Mist’s first appearance. The book sold 48 copies with an average raw price of $11.00
2. ICE CREAM MAN #17 CVR A – Cool homage to Action Comics #1. The book sold 30 copies at an average price of $7.58
3. MEMETIC #1 – Small print run indy book that was optioned by Seth Rogan for a movie. The news made 27 copies sell with an average raw price of $29.99
4. GREEN ARROW #24 – first appearance of John Diggle, who is rumored to be in the Green Arrow series on HBO. The book sold 15 copies at an average raw price of $21.74.
5. BATMAN BEYOND #25 (FOIL) – It was confirmed in issue 40 that Elainna Grayson would be the new Batwoman Beyond. This is the appearance of Elainna Grayson. The revelation helped move 35 copies at an average raw price of $16.97
6. VENGEANCE #1 – First appearance of America Chavez who is rumored to be on Disney+. The book sold 16 copies at an average raw price of $57.00
7. YOUNG AVENGERS #1 – The first issue of Young Avengers, full of first appearances, remains hot. It sold 20 copies at an average raw price of $54.00
8. BATMAN BEYOND #40 FRANCIS MANAPUL VARIANT – The revelation of Elainna Grayson being Batwoman Beyond. This has helped both covers of this issue, as well as #25, sell. It sold 20 copies at an average price of $7.63 raw.
9. STAR WARS KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC #9 – The first appearance of Revan before he becomes a Darth. The issue sold 12 copies at an average price of $59.00
10. ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 – First appearance of Miles Morales. This issue keeps popping up on the list. This week it sold 17 copies at $111.00
Couple things the Valkyries are all dead except one according to Thor Ragnarok. Also not smart to do a Green Arrow show again because it’s going to have to top 8 seasons of an already pretty decent Green Arrow show.
Diggle won’t be the new Green Arrow.
He’s rumored to be a different green character as teased in the series finale.
