Could Punchline Be Derailed for Wednesday Release?

There are two books out this Wednesday thag should be on everyone’s radar. First is Batman #89 with that first cameo appearance of Punchline that is already heating up on eBay. The other is Bang #1 from Dark Horse. Some areas could have some trouble getting the books this Wednesday though.

Diamond sent out an email saying there could be a slight hiccup leaving fans scrambling for the books.

We have been notified that the truck en route from the Plattsburg distribution center has experienced transportation delays. As a result the delivery times for the shipments containing new product for release on February 19, 2020 will be delayed for 24 hours.

If you have additional questions regarding this advisory, please contact a member of the Diamond Retailer Services Department.

So while the delay may hit some stores serviced by the Plattsburg distribution center, buyers may have to get back to the shops on Thursday to get their copies.

You may want to check with your lcs to see if they are effected.

      1. I’m located not too far from Plattsburg. My guess is my LCSs are impacted. I might give them a call later to find out.

How many distribution centers are there? And I assume if one book is delayed, all the books that week are delayed for a particular shop impacted.

  1. Some stores have midnight release parties for Wolverine #1 (dont know why ha) while saying can grab your normal books. That wont go well!

  2. Batman 89 cover A still available after 40 minutes, though you have to keep refreshing the page because one second it says not in stock than a second later it’ll have them back in stock. It’s possible their system is glitching because it’s probably getting hammered.
