Books hit the shelves Wednesday mornings, but sales go on before that. Here is what our picks are doing on eBay going into Wednesday morning.

Regular Covers

Magnificent Ms Marvel #13 First appearance of the Amulet. Cover price copies still up on eBay but closed sales of $10 has been the norm.

Batman #90 – Sold out, going to second print, new character. Batman has become hot again. This one is selling in the $20-$27 range and $50 for sets.

As always, if you see something popping, let us know.

    1. Good. I ordered several copies of each cover for King of Nowhere. Now, if only I’d ordered more than one of Batman 90.

      1. There is a ‘C’ variant, for King of Nowhere, that was only available for order online, according to the LCS owner that I talked to this afternoon. I tried to reserve the A cover, and he said that they were all already spoken for, but I didn’t make a request until Monday afternoon.
That’s really unusual, still, for this shop, in particular, to be sold through on a book like that. They are especially good at pre-ordering proper amounts of almost all of the comics.
        Jolly hauls, yall!

        1. He probably could have said FOC cover, lol! I prolly should have known that’s what he was referring to. Maybe, I just misunderstood, because I was at work. He was considerate enough to call to give me the heads up, either way. He’s been at it for 25 years, too. That’s prolly the real value of collecting, imho: the relationships, great conversations, etc. with weird people that like the same stuff that you like.
I’m hoping to get 2 sets of the Batbook. Holding onto 2 sets of #89 and 1 1/2 sets of DCYOTV #3… for now…

            1. i have pull lists with three shops right now…feel like I have three girlfriends, and eventually need to decide who doesn’t get a rose…

      2. Covers A and B still available at midtown no limit. Cover C available on eBay for cover plus shipping. Not a lot of listings, but not a lot of sales either.

Go for the C cover for spec and for the read, but nothing’s indicating this is a comic thats heating up. This one might just be an Enjoy it for the read! Or long term spec.

  1. This sis getting silly for Batman. I’m glad I started preordering again, with #88 pr whatever, looks like just in the nick of time too.

  2. So, we had a price watch going on he’ll arisen 3 last week throughout the first 24 hours….will we have the same for this book?

    Poyo, I’m looking at you!

    1. Presales were at $30 or so. Today 5 sales at about $20 shipped.

109 BIN listings (search Batman 90 1st designer).

Lowest A cover at $19 shipped.

Lowest B cover at $23 shipped.

    2. And a preview of 1 & 2 weeks later currently available on eBay, sorry to steal some of your thunder, Poyo):

      Batman 89A = $40 shipped
      Batman 89B = $30 shipped
      Hell Arisen 3A = $40 shipped (NM)
      Hell Arisen 3B = $44 shipped (NM)
HA3 2nd print presales moving at $15 shipped.

I noticed HA3 is very susceptible to spine damage. My copy of cover A from the LCS has multiple spine ticks. So there are cheaper copies of HA3 but they’re advertised as VF/NM or NM-. Haven’t opened my copy from MCS yet. So just be aware.

      1. Batman #89 seems to be on the rise. Last week it was around a $25-$30 book from what I recall. HA3 has been pretty steady at the $35-$40 mark. I still think if Punchline sticks around, the long term winner will ultimately be BM89… I think another appealing factor it has going for it is Batman is a title that will always be around where as YOTV is just a one off mini-series…

      1. Flip quick, as in the rebirth era, DC subsequent printings (recolored cover art) have not amounted to anything spec wise. Even Naomi #1 2nd print was a quick flip and now it’s basically back to cover
Price. I can’t even think of another example…
