Boom Studios Signs First Look Deal With Netflix

Boom Studios announced that they have signed a first-look deal with Netflix. The deal includes both live action and animated shows. You can see the full press release below.

  • BOOM! Studios CEO and Founder Ross Richie and President of Development Stephen Christy will Executive Produce all shows developed through the pact.
  • This marks a brand new partnership between the two companies, though Netflix and BOOM! have always been close collaborators, including partnering on the upcoming feature film The Unsound directed by David F. Sandberg, based on the graphic novel by Cullen Bunn and Jack T. Cole. BOOM! also debuted a graphic novel series in 2019 tied into Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

  1. Same with Once & Future. Keep an eye on Folklords as well. That would make a great animated movie.

    1. Black Badge is what I’m hoping for as a Live Action show.. animation movies or shows don’t seem to create the same type of heat that live action shows do. Not sure why.. but that seems to be the norm from past options that actually follow through from media option to actual production.
