CovrPrice Top 10 for Week Ending May 10, 2020

Since Covrprice.com  came on the scene, they have become a go to spot for watching eBaytrends on comics. They scour thousands of eBay sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow, and, these results are for auction that closed last week. )

1. BLACK BADGE #1 – Recent news of option has sent this book soaring. 43 copies sold at an average raw price of $22.50

2. ULTIMATUM #1 – Mentions under water earthquakes, which was referenced in Avengers End Game. Thinking there is some Namor connection there, has led to 37 copies selling at an average raw price of $13.97

3. SPAWN #1 – gold standard modern comic in sales. 34 copies sold this week at an average raw price of $47.10.

4. VENOM #3 (3rd Print) – Knull rumored to appear in a Marvel project. This the reprint of his first appearance and one side of the “first cover appearance” argument. Still, 40 copies sold at a raw average of $114.00

5. ULTIMATUM #1 1:20 – See #2 for reason. This is the 1:20 variant by Ed McGuinness. It sold 26 copies at an average raw price of $13.38

6. ETERNALS #1 – Upcoming movie, now a regular seller. 47 copies moved this week at an average price of $49.25 Raw.

7. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #365 – First Spider-Man 2099, rumors swirl about media appearances. Sold 17 copies at an average raw price of $6.78

8. SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 – Disney + show still coming out. 25 copies sold at an average raw price of $82.63.

9. VENOM #5 Skan TCM/Frankie’s Comics Trade Dress Variant – The other side to the “first cover appearance” argument. Sold 15 copies with an average raw price of $40.33.

10. MARVEL SUPER-HEROES SECRET WARS #8 – First Spider-man Black Costume that turns out to be Venom. This Venom guy just may catch on. 27 copies sold this week at an average raw price of $61.50.

  1. Eight out of Ten this week .All fairly books obtainable too. Glad to see the Eternals #1 on the list again.

  2. I’m pretty sure around 8 of those Black Badges were from me… last week was a great selling week for Black Badges.. so glad I kept buying an extra copy everytime I hit up the local shop there for a few months. 🙂
