CovrPrice Runners-Up for 8/6/20

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. Think of this as the second half of the top 20.

#11 ALL-NEW MARVEL NOW! POINT ONE #1 (MARVEL, 2014) Wow, did this book take off! A couple of weeks ago, this 1:75 for this first full appearance of Kamala Kahn sold for a massive $3,750 in a 9.8. That sale then kickstarted this undervalued first print, which also lit a fire under the 2nd print with a raw sale of $524 and $1250 for a CGC 9.8!. The 1st print saw a big raw sale of $99 raw, sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 118% and had an all-new high sale of $800 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 THOR #2 3RD PRINT (MARVEL, 2020) Man, collectors are LOVING this subsequent printing. Even though everyone seemed to be talking about this cover before FOC (final order cutoff), it was still pretty hard to find and created immediate market heat. It sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 139% and had a high sale of $27 for a raw copy.

#13 YOUNG AVENGERS #1 (MARVEL, 2005) Honestly, we feel that this book could end up being the most important book to MCU’s phase 4. This could be as low as it gets for a while. It sold 24 copies, had a 7-day trend of 146% and had a high sale of $359.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 VENOM #3 (MARVEL, 2018) Knull is hands down the hottest subject in comics… maybe a little TOO much. However, as this market heat is driving Venom books to highs that no Venom series has ever seen before. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high sale of $445 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 NEW AVENGERS #7 (MARVEL, 2005) THE ILLUMINATI is rumored to play a heavy role in MCU’s phase 4. While still a rumor, this is a pretty sound speculation. It sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 151% and had a high raw sale of $47.

#16 VENOM LETHAL PROTECTOR #2 (MARVEL, 1993) This issue is the first appearance of THE JURY (Bomblast, Firearm, Ramshot, Screech, Sentry). There’s some outlier speculation that THE JURY will appear in VENOM 2. This is unconfirmed but still moved 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 179% and had a high sale of $59.95 for a CGC 9.8. (Find on eBay) (Find on MCS)

#17 CATWOMAN #23 (DC, 2020) The return of SNOWFLAME and the first appearance of CATGIRL is still trending. It sold 30 copies, had a 7-day trend of 86% and had a high sale of $27.95 for a raw copy. (Find on eBay) (Find on MCS)

#18 CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #4 (DC, 1985) The 2nd appearance of Constantine is still selling, due to the speculation that Keanu might return to the role. With Keanu also rumored for a major MCU role, many are stating that this is highly unlikely. However, it still sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 106% and had a high sale of $16 for a raw copy.

#19 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2011) While the 1st print is still scorching the aftermarket, it’s easy to forget how well this 2nd print is still doing. It sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 100% and had a high sale of $340 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #1 (MARVEL, 1993) The first appearance of Shriek is a GREAT book to buy into now. Raw prices have come back down to under $5. If she appears in the VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer, expect this book to jump. AND if it doesn’t, it’ll jump when the film releases. This is as cheap and solid of a spec as it gets these days. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 175% and had a high sale of $79.99 for a CGC 9.8. Yeah, weird outlier sale… but it did go through.
