CovrPrice Runners-Up for 8/21/20

As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. Think of this as the second half of the top 20.

#11 FALLEN SON THE DEATH OF CAPTAIN AMERICA #3 (MARVEL, 2007) With the market heat around Kate Bishop and the HAWKEYE Dinsey+ series, even the fringe books like this are trending. This issue features the cover that has both Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. It’s kind of also the first (unofficial) meeting of the two, though Clint is dressed as Captain America. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 247% and had a high sale of $17.99 for a raw copy

#12 CAPTAIN MARVEL #18 (MARVEL, 2020) The first appearance of Carol Danver’s Kree half-sister, Lauri-Ell, is still selling well with 37 copies sold, had a 7-day trend of 88% and had a high sale of $20 for a raw copy.

#13 FIRE POWER #1 GOLD LOGO VARIANT (IMAGE, 2020) Robert Kirkman’s new series is picking up, at least for this GOLD variant. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 97% and had a high sale of $132.50 for a raw copy. Like Mark Millar, with Kirkman’s Hollywood connection, could this get turned into content one day?

#14 THOR #4 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2020) The market loves additional printings and this 2nd print is still trending. It sold 30 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high sale of $26 for a raw copy.

#15 BATMAN THE ADVENTURES CONTINUE #2 (DC, 2020) The first appearance of “Sunny” (Deathstroke’s apprentice) is picking up as more collectors realize they’ve missed this first. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 130% and had a high sale of $29.99 for a raw copy.

#16 DETECTIVE COMICS #743 (DC, 2000) This issue features the first appearances of Whisper A’Daire, an operative of the League of Assassins. There are rumors that she will appear in the CW Batwoman series. It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 143% and had a high sale of $12 for a raw copy.

#17 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011) First Miles Morales. You know this. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 113% and had a high sale of $1,195.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #300 (MARVEL, 1988) You also know this, first full appearance of Venom. He’s just a little popular right now. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 189% and had a high sale of $2999.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#19 WONDER WOMAN #759 (DC, 2020) First LIAR LIAR (not named) sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 75% and had a high sale of $14.99 for a raw copy.

#20 SUICIDE SQUAD #7 (DC, 2020) This issue features the first full appearance of Liveshot, daughter of Deadshot. This first has been quietly creeping up. It sold 16 copies, had a 7-day trend of 161% and had a high sale of $12.99 for a raw copy.
