CovrPrice Runners-Up for 9/11/20


As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. Think of this as the second half of the top 20.

#11 BLACK PANTHER #1 (MARVEL, 2009) As mentioned, with the expectations of Shuri taking on the BP mantle, this J. Scott Campbell cover had some huge sales. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 251% and had a high raw sale of $189.99.

#12 SPAWN #309 MATTINA FRAZETTA HOMAGE (IMAGE, 2020) This Frazetta homage is awesome and the market feels the same way. It sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 109% and had a high sale of $28.75 for a raw copy.

#13 MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN #18 RAHZZAH VARIANT (MARVEL, 2020) Some of the heat from the One-Per Store variant went to this variant, giving it a decent boost in sales and price. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 126% and had a high sale of $15.99 for a raw copy.

#14 SILK #1 (MARVEL, 2015) With the SILK TV news, all things Silky are going to start moving. This first issue to her solo series is just the start. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 132% and had a high sale of $139.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 BLACK PANTHER #1 (MARVEL, 1977) This comic honors two legends, Jack Kirby and Chadwick Boseman. This book became one of the many books that collectors rushed to buy JUST to keep in their collection. It sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high sale of $395 for a CGC 9.6.

#16 THOR #5 (MARVEL, 2020) This first full BLACK WINTER continues to move. It sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 95% and had a high sale of $189.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 BATMAN #92 JORGE JIMENEZ (1:25) (DC, 2020) The B&W one-per store variant helped give some additional lift to Punchline’s first (full) appearance variant. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 154% and had a high sale of $154.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#18 RISE OF THE BLACK PANTHER #1 MOVIE VARIANT (MARVEL, 2018) While plenty of BP books sold, it was THIS variant that collectors really wanted due to him being in costume with his mask off. It’s the perfect book to have on your wall in remembrance of Chadwick. It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 111% and had a high sale of $132.50 for a raw copy.

#19 BATMAN THREE JOKERS #1 JASON FABOK (1:25) (DC, 2020) This THREE JOKERS book is apparently the biggest selling comic this year. This variant is plentiful, yet it still retains decent value. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 126% and had a high sale of $49.95 for a raw copy.

#20 SPAWN #1 (IMAGE, 1992) This is one of our evergreen sellers. It ALWAYS sells well, week after week. This week, it just went for a little more than normal and sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high sale of $157.50 for a CGC 9.8.

  1. MyComicShop.com has Spawn #309 A and C for cover, still. I’m not sure how many copies, but it is still there, for the moment.
