Poyo’s FOC Highlight Books for Last Call 09/14/2020

FOC is the last chance to put in your orders with your comic shops and likely get at a discount for pre-ordering.

It’s a pretty light week for FOC but here are the highlights I think.

There’s been some chatter for this first pick. I’m not sure it will be a huge success but probably a book you might want to throw in as a pre-order for the just in case.

Miles Morales Spider-Man #19

Miles Morales Spider-Man #19 OutThe next pick might not be a spec or heat up as I can’t recall the last time a Scout second printing made anyone a millionaire but it’s definitely a book to nab if you missed the first printing.

Atlantis Wasn’t Built For Tourists #1 2nd Printing

Batman #100 is on FOC. Tynion claims the new Ghost-Maker cameo’s in the book and then get a first full in Batman #102 (up for pre-order). I guess we’ll see since creators like to say whatever to sell books. It’s yet to be known if the Batman #102 (Cover B – Francesco Mattina Card Stock Variant) cover depicts Ghost-Maker but I doubt it. Seems these Mattina’s are always behind as I’m sure Mattina art is picked out prior to the story itself.

This one is a pick only because I actually love the Blank Variant. Not so much of a blank with the grayscale bats on it but I think would make a great cover without any artist doodles on it.

Batman #100 (Blank Variant) Joker WarLast is Wolverine #6, which is also seeing some chatter about the new villain first appearance that is likely happening in the issue.

Even if it doesn’t heat up, I kind of like the cover. The next issue, Wolverine #7 Xos is pretty cool as well. I might be picking these up for the covers alone.

Wolverine #6 Xos

  1. Just waiting for Marvel to announce a 2nd print Miles 18 with the clone on the cover…

If that doesn’t happen, this could be the next Miles #6.
