Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. Going to keep this short and sweet this week.Just been feeling tired as of late. Cabin fever sucks. Love you all. Now lets make the money with some comics cause you can’t teach that.
1. Countdown to Final Crisis #47 – Black Adam gives Mary Marvel his powers in this issue. I love the look of the evil Mary Marvel. I so want it for the movies, maybe for Black Adam 2? This is in dollar boxes as are most issues of Countdown to Final Crisis happy hunting
2. Game Players Magazine August 1994 – this is a vintage video game magazine. Features a cover of Spider-Man, Venom, and Carnage. Maximum Carnage. Venom and Carnage are hot. Movie, King in Black, I can see stuff like this going strong in the future $5-10
3. Rock and Roll Comics #16 – RIP Eddie Van Halen, this is the first appearance of Van Halen in comics, so rock on and rock hard $10
4. Gen 13 #12 – just a great J Scott Campbell cover. I believe Gen 13 will make a come back some day, plus J Scott Campbell T&A covers equal money
5. Wildcats Trilogy #1 – One of the most underrated comics So many people have it and do not realize it is a key Image book. First appearance of Gen 13. DC is reprinting a lot of the early Gen 13 minis and series which is a good sign for maybe a Gen 13 return.
6. Punisher War Journal #75 – First appearance of Lynne Michaels as Punisher. Lynne Michaels Punisher is hot and needs some Cos-play love. This is just a great cover on a great book. Low print run and rare.
Thought gen 13 first app was in deathmate black?
I think they classified it as cameo in Wildcats Trilogy and first full appearance in Deathmate..
Cameo or full is such a boring argument any more. They appeared in Wildstorm Trilogy, even briefly, it is still an appearance. It happened to be their first time appearing. They fully appeared later but they appeared here first.
Oh, you don’t have to preach to me.. cameo’s are firsts, whether you like it or not. I was just stating what most classify the appearances as. So yes, if it wasn’t obvious, I was confirming that Wildcats Trilogy was their first..
Lol. Yes. I must find reasons to lecture you.
Okay, not entering the argument; just facts: WildC.A.T.s Trilogy #1 has four pages of pin-ups of Gen-X (now know as Gen13), by Jeffery Scott (now known as J. Scott Campbell).
WildC.A.T.s Trilogy #1 also has a Special Ashcan Edition with a one-page ad for Ge-X (Gen13) that was available at the same time as WildC.A.T.s Trilogy #1 regular comic books.
Deathmate Black has 43 pages of story with 4-8 story pages by each of several artists, including Jeffery Scott, costarring Gen13, that came out a couple of months after WildC.A.T.s Trilogy.
Buy comics, be happy.
I am always happy.
So, Wildcats Trilogy still first appearance? So nothing has changed.. 😉
your article just made me spend $18. I won’t say what i bought from the list, though…I’m ashamed of my FOMO
Punisher War Journal #75 ??? right…
Yeah, I also bought a Punisher War Journal #75. Mainly for the cover…Found one for $7 with free shipping. What the heck not!
