Covrprice.com Top Ten for Week Ending 11/6/20

Since Covrprice.com  came on the scene, they have become a go to spot for watching eBaytrends on comics. They scour thousands of eBay sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow, and, these results are for auction that closed last week. )

#1 BATGIRL #50 (DC, 2020) This standard cover of Ryan Wilder’s first appearance outperformed all the other books on this list and sold 169 copies, had a 7-day trend of 297% and had a high sale of $39.99 for a raw copy.

#2 THE STRANGE TALENT OF LUTHER STRODE #1 (IMAGE, 2011) Per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, “The Strange Talent of Luther Strode’ is being developed as a movie by new production company Allnighter”. This news sent sales skyrocketing to all new heights. It sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 785% and had a high sale of $150 for a raw copy.

#3 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: THE LAST RONIN #1 KEVIN EASTMAN (1:10) (IDW, 2020) And the LAST RONIN heat doesn’t stop there. This Eastman variant was also incredibly hot and sold 98 copies, had a 7-day trend of 95% and had a high sale of $139 for a CGC 9.8.

#4 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES THE LAST RONIN #1 (IDW, 2020) And with all THE LAST RONIN excitement, of course, this would be on here. It sold 128 copies, had a 7-day trend of 69% and had a high sale of $119.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#5 MOON KNIGHT #1 (MARVEL, 1980) The recent news of Oscar Issac possibly playing the role of MOON KNIGHT for Disney+ has pushed prices up for all Moon Knight key issues. It sold 67 copies, had a 7-day trend of 122% and had a high sale of $549 for a CGC 9.8.

#6 BATGIRL #50 DODSON “B” VARIANT (DC, 2020) There’s a new Batwoman on the CW, and her (character) name is Ryan Wilder. Ryan’s first appearance is in this issue of Batgirl #50. This gorgeous Terry Dodson cover sold 39 copies, had a 7-day trend of 170% and had a high sale of $30 for a raw copy.

#7 MICHAELANGELO, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE #1 (MIRAGE, 1985) There’s a reveal at the end of THE LAST RONIN that has caused recent interest in this solo series. There’s debate if that reveal is a red herring, though it seems pretty straight forward. It sold 30 copies, had a 7-day trend of 152% and had a high sale of $150 for a CGC 9.6.

#8 SPAWN #311 MCFARLANE CHADWICK TRIBUTE B&W VARIANT (IMAGE, 2020) This great homage to the late Chadwick Boseman struck a chord with collectors who quickly picked one up. It sold 50 copies, had a 7-day trend of 67% and had a high sale of $19.99 for a raw copy.

#9 GOTHAM ACADEMY #1 (DC, 2014) Maps Mizoguchi recently debuted as the newest Robin. Her first appearance, amongst many other first appearances, was in this issue. It sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 148% and had a high sale of $27.95 for a raw copy.

#10 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES ADVENTURES #1 (ARCHIE, 1988) The Last Ronin has lit a fire under various TMNT books. This Archie series features the first appearance of Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady. Not sure why the exact interest in this suddenly shot up aside from being a cool comic. It sold 14 copies, had a 7-day trend of 206% and had a high sale of $158 for a CGC 9.2 (though the next day a CGC 9.6 sold for $380).
