It’s been a while since my last Variants Picks. I’m really digging a lot of the variants coming out this week so figured we were due.
Mentioned this one in my picks of the week as well. Just love the cover, it stands out because it’s just.. Weird!. Colonel Weird: Cosmagog #2 (Evan Dorkin & Sarah Dyer Variant Cover)
The one you nab if you find at cover or cheap to flip. It’s a ratio variant so shops might jack it up a bit but if you’re lucky like me, can be found at cover from time to time and Image ratio books you always flip immediately.. ALWAYS! Unless of course you just want it for the personal collection.
This is the Department of Truth #3 1:25 Variant of the baby eater monster thingy…
An awesome 1:10 variant for Scumbag #2. Might not bring great profit but if you can find cheap, might make a quick flip or just keep in the personal collection. I like it cause if they ever make a movie, they already got the poster for it.
Miles Morales is hot. Just buy it if you can. It’s the Amazing Spider-Man Variant for the new PS5 Game.
I’m really starting to become a fan of Coello’s cover art. He’s knocking them out of the ballpark I think for these Xos covers.
Excalibur #15 (Coello Variant) Xos is already selling out at some online retailers but still available at TFAW. Not sure if something big happens in this issue but I might be picking it up for the cover art alone.
One of the few LCSD books I’m really digging the art work for. I can appreciate it but I’m not even buying it. But for some of you, it might be a must have that goes to X of Swords Destruction #1 (Henrichon LCSD Variant) XOS. I really hope we start getting more Henrichon covers in the future. It’s like a good mix of Momoko (soft penciling style) and Nguyen (watercolors) in one.
This next one, I just really dig the cover. Maybe I’m a sucker for rain falling on the covers.. but Red Hood #51 has a pretty cool variant. It’s just too bad it will likely never heat up.
For you Momoko fans. X-Men #15 (Momoko Variant) Xos. It’s like weird and creepy in true Momoko fashion for sure. It’s an open order so you all know the rules, buy if you like but don’t expect to flip for awesome profit. Maybe one day but I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.
The last one is just a very awesome cover for Death Metal Multiverse Who Laughs One-Shot. Retailers might try to dump this one off at a higher price. I wouldn’t spend that much on it.
Unless something major happens (first appearance), I expect this one to come down so keep an close eye on the secondary market for this one if you so desire to add it to your personal collection.

Might try to get a DC Nation Future State 0 one per store variant. The same as the free one but an LCSD exclusive with a darker blue/ black border instead of the light blue. I’d have to imagine there will be plenty of first cameo/ preview of characters inside.
