#1 CHAMPIONS #1 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2020) This market LOVES them some 2nd printings. Apparently, this is even more so when Kamala is on the cover. It sold 40 copies, had a 7-day trend of 667% and had a high sale of $35.15 for a raw copy.

#2 STAR WARS HEIR TO THE EMPIRE #1 (DARK HORSE, 1995) This first appearance of Thrawn is officially a super expensive book. He’s been rumored to appear for a while, so we all had plenty of time to find a copy. But this week’s name drop of the Mandalorian confirmed his potential appearance. When and how is unknown (it could be a while). However, this week it sold 98 copies, had a 7-day trend of 203% and had a high sale of $1000 for a CGC 9.8.

#3 MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #9 DIRECT EDITION (MARVEL, 1980) While the newsstand copies usually take the lead, this week the direct edition won the race. It’s rare for us to see BOTH versions land on the top 10, but here we are. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 461% and had a high sale of $275 for a high-grade raw copy.

#4 MARVEL SPOTLIGHT #9 NEWSSTAND (MARVEL, 1980) MISTER E (or Mr. E as some folks like to call him) doesn’t have an extensive history, which makes this a nice and tidy first appearance. His re-introduction to the pages of Symbiote Spider-Man has spurred a ton of interest, causing this issue to skyrocket in price from the depths of quarter bins. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 274% and had a high sale of $199 for a NM raw copy

#5 STAR WARS THRAWN #1 (MARVEL, 2018) So, here’s a spoiler… Thrawn was name-dropped in the most recent episode, causing spikes in his first appearance in HEIR TO THE EMPIRE and this solo series. This first issue sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 423% and had a high sale of $24.99 for a raw copy.

#6 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES THE LAST RONIN #1 (IDW, 2020) The Last Ronin continues to hang in there week after week. This week it sold 62 copies, had a 7-day trend of 109% and had a high sale of $189.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#7 STAR WARS DOCTOR APHRA #6 BARTEL 1:25 VARIANT (MARVEL, 2020) Man, what a gorgeous cover… which is sometimes all we need. It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 289% and had a high sale of $180 for a raw copy

#8 DC NATION PRESENTS DC FUTURE STATE #1 RETAILER BLACK BORDER VARIANT (DC, 2020) Future State is going to be packed with first appearances and potentially key characters for DC down the road. With that anticipation, collectors recognized that this issue could be very key since it features most of them in this LCSD one-shot. The one-per-store black border variant sold 56 copies, had a 7-day trend of 86% and had a high sale of $80 for a raw copy.

#9 NEW AVENGERS #9 (MARVEL, 2016) With the AMERICAN KAIJU appearing in the KING IN BLACK crossover Planet of the Symbiotes storyline, his first appearance in this issue became instantly hot. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 196% and had a high (early) sale of $39.99 for a CGC 9.6… though raws are now at $25.

#10 STAR WARS KANAN #1 (MARVEL, 2015) Heads up, this is going to be rather spoilery on the most recent episode of THE MANDALORIAN. This episode delivers on a highly anticipated appearance. With no official confirmation or preview, this appearance brought some validity to ALL the other rumors… including a possible introduction of Sabine Wren and Kanan at some point. This first issue (which features a first cameo appearance of Sabrine) sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 129% and had a high sale of $245 for a CGC 9.8.
