#11 MS. MARVEL #13 MARGUERITE SAUVAGE (MARVEL, 2015) Disney’s Investor Summit last week laid out their content plans for the next two years. While we already had Kamala’s casting confirmation over a month again, which caused her key issues and covers to increase in price, the official confirmation of Kamala’s Inhuman friend Kamron gave his first appearance the most immediate movement. It sold 25 copies, had a 7-day trend of 273% and had a high sale of $180 for a CGC 9.8.
#12 INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #7 (MARVEL, 2016) As mentioned in the TOP 10, the Investor summit confirmed that actress Dominique Thorne will play the role of Riri Williams. Her first cameo appearance in this issue was one of top movers based on that announcement. It sold 38 copies, had a 7-day trend of 176% and had a high sale of $290 for a CGC 9.8.
#13 IRON MAN #225 (MARVEL, 1987) The Disney Summit also announced ARMOR WARS as upcoming content for Disney+. Billed as one of “Tony Stark’s biggest fears”, this series will star Don Cheadle as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes/ War Machine. It’s unknown if the Disney+ series will pull from this first issue of the ARMOR WARS (and overall storyline) or if it’ll simply utilize the name (much like CIVIL WAR). It sold 42 copies, had a 7-day trend of 154% and had a high sale of $199 for a CGC 9.8.
#14 STAR WARS #1 (MARVEL, 1977) So, STAR WARS is SUPER hot again. It makes sense that with ALL of the recently announced content, that fans would look towards the book that started it all. This first issue sold 36 copies, had a 7-day trend of 164% and had a high sale of $2,750 for a CGC 9.8.
#15 USAGI YOJIMBO #15 SANTOLOUCO 1:10 VARIANT (IDW, 2020) This new variant from last week was an immediate hit. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 364% and had a high sale of $69.99 for a raw copy.
#16 WAR OF THE REALMS OMEGA #1 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2019) In this issue Jane Foster takes up the mantle of VALKYRIE, to fight THE KING IN BLACK alongside Thor. With this news (and the reformation of the Valkyries) this hard to find 2nd print spiked in price with 11 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 452% and had a high sale of $49.99 for a raw copy.
#17 WAR OF THE REALMS OMEGA #1 (MARVEL, 2019) Yep, even the regular issue is seeing a spike. This recent heat doesn’t seem to be widely known at this point. So, you might have a good shot of finding these at your LCS. It sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 160% and had a high sale of $19 for a raw copy.
#18 TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES THE LAST RONIN #1 RED FOIL THANK YOU (IDW, 2020) This Retailer Thank You RED FOIL variant jumped on the list this week with steady sales. This week it sold 61 copies, had a 7-day trend of 70% and had a high sale of $390.51 for a high grade raw copy (though this seems to be an outlier as most sell between $100 to $125).
#19 BATMAN #313 (DC, 1979) The identity of DC Future States’ Batman was revealed last week as… Tim Fox, son of Lucius Fox. His first appearance in this issue is SUPER hot. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 183% and had a high sale of $382 for a raw copy.
#20 TOXIC AVENGER #1 (MARVEL, 1991) Deadline is reporting that, “Peter Dinklage To Star In Legendary’s ‘Toxic Avenger’ Reboot”. This week, it’s JUST barely hanging on to the Top 20. It sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 148% and had a high sale of $219.95 for a CGC 9.8.
Is there any value in Star Wars #1 2nd Print from original Marvel series?
Yes.
My LCS has couple copies for $75 in VF+/NM-. Do you recommend buying? Or is that to high of a price?
You have to be very careful with copies of Star Wars #1 especially the reprints as there are a bunch of reprints and most people cannot figure out which is which. The original was a 20 cent cover with a UPC box and a square price box. There is a 35 cent variant worth a lot more. There is a 30 cent reprint (the 2nd print) which averages around $30). There is a 35 cent diamond box reprint with an all white upc box. And it goes on from there.
First print is 30c not 20c.
The reprint will say reprint vertically in the box next to Luke.
I said it was a 20 cent cover.
Do not buy that garbage. Put your money towards a raw first print? They are not that much. I see one on ebay for $115 buy it now. Buy that instead. Buy the best grade copy that you can afford. Buy a raw # 2 while you can afford it too.
Agree. And this concept goes for most. Buy highest grade raw, grade yourself. Avoid the “9.8 Syndrome” (paying exponential… as in “e to the x” amounts of $$$). It’s lunacy in my opinion, particularly recently with the inconsistency with CGC
Thanks guys for the tips. I’ll save to invest in a 1st print.
