#10 STAR WARS #2 (MARVEL, 1977) This book is still climbing after the Disney Summit announcement of the OBI-WAN KENOBI Disney+ series. His first appearance in this issue has been LONG undervalued as it also features the first Han Solo, Chewbacca, Millennium Falcon, Jaba the Hutt, and the Death Star. It sold 46 copies, had a 7-day trend of 100% and had a high sale of $999.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#9 INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1 (MARVEL, 2016) This issue features the first COVER appearance of Riri named and in “a” Ironheart suit (that’s not seen inside the issue). This was the one book that heated up from the Disney Investor call, which confirmed her receiving her own Disney series. It sold 38 copies, had a 7-day trend of 141% and had a high sale of $35 for a NM+ raw copy.

#8 DAREDEVIL #25 (MARVEL, 2020) While sales are slowing, prices are holding for this first appearance of Elektra as Daredevil. Can it hang in the Top 10 next week? This week it sold 70 copies, had a 7-day trend of 83% and had a high sale of $50 for a raw copy.

#7 THOR GOD OF THUNDER #2 (MARVEL, 2012) The Investor summit also confirmed that Christian Bale will play the villain Gorr, the God Butcher in THOR: LOVE & THUNDER. Out of all the hot books, this received the most attention and excitement, causing prices to skyrocket. It sold 50 copies, had a 7-day trend of 121% and had a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8. Many are wondering if Gorr will wield the Necrosword. If he does… then brace yourself for a wave of Knull speculation. WHICH actually brings us to THOR: GOD OF THUNDER #6, the origin of Knull, with a 9.8 hitting a new high of $599.99 this week or a CGC 9.8. This is already outpacing the standard cover for GOD OF THUNDER #2.

#6 TEEN TITANS ENDLESS WINTER SPECIAL #1 (DC, 2020) This issue features the first appearance of Summer Zahid (a young girl whose metagene was activated during the Frost King’s invasion) who is thought to appear in DC’s Future State. This first sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 232% and had a high sale of $23 for a raw copy (though prices have settled to around $15). You may be able to find copies popping up in between those higher sales.

#5 STAR WARS X-WING ROGUE SQUADRON #1 (DARK HORSE, 1995) Wonder Woman 1984’s Patty Jenkins will direct a new Rogue Squadron film, set to release in Dec. 2023. Speculation is leaning towards this series featuring the original squad, giving this first Rogue Squadron series a nice bump in sales and price. It sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 404% and had a high sale of $85 for a high-grade raw copy.

#4 JUSTICE SOCIETY OF AMERICA #1 (DC, 2006) Per COMIC BOOK RESOURCES, “It was announced that Quintessa Swindell will portray Cyclone in the upcoming DC film Black Adam, another addition to the Justice Society of America.” This news helped spike her first appearance in this issue and sold 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 372% and had a high sale of $105.50 for a CGC 9.8.

#3 WYRD #1 (DARK HORSE, 2019) After a HUGE content week last week, it’s nice to have a quieter one with this week’s news from DEADLINE reporting “Matthew Rhys To Headline ‘Wyrd’ Drama Inspired By Comic In Works At FX From Sheldon Turner”. This helped this 1-year old comic to land both the standard cover and variant on our TOP 10 this week. It sold 20 copies, had a 7-day trend of 651% and had a high sale of $29 for a high-grade raw copy.

#2 WYRD #1 JEFF LEMIRE VARIANT (DARK HORSE, 2019) Umm, ditto. However, the Lemiere variant took the lead. It sold 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 716% and had a high sale of $40 for a raw copy.

#1 SOLID BLOOD #17 (IMAGE, 2020) This comic “from a parallel universe” is a weird one-per store issue that ties into the Donny Cates CROSSOVER event. This issue alters some of the comic/ story history of certain Image books. It’s a fun book that truly plays into a real “what if”. It easily landed in the top spot after selling 219 copies with a 7-day trend of 438% and had a high sale of $49.99 for a raw copy.

  1. Rogue Squadron is such a quandary.
Star Wars #40 (original Marvel series) is the 1st Full Rogue Squadron (and cover)
Star Wars X-Wing Rogue Squadron which came out years and year later is in the Top 10; whereas Star Wars 40 is in the Runners-up?

I never pretend to understand trends.
    They’re generally nutzo.
But this one drives even this nut, nutzo.

  2. Solid Blood wasn’t one per store. We got 8 of them. I assume the count was tied to order volume of some other title.
