#11 POINT ONE #1 (MARVEL, 2011) As reported by COMICBOOK.COM: “ComicBook.com asked Feige several questions regarding Nova’s, including whether the Richard Rider or Sam Alexander version would appear in the MCU, and if they would receive a standalone film or cameo in another MCU project. “Well, yes and yes,” Feige answered in response to all the questions. “Timing is relative, right? I think I’d been talking about Doctor Strange eight years before that movie came out. So, ‘immediate potential’ is relative.” Feige went on to point out that the Nova Corps would fit well into the cosmic side of the MCU.” While NOVA #1 has been moving for a while now, it was Sam Alexander’s first appearance in POINT ONE #1 (MARVEL, 2011) that really started picking up in both sales and price (particularly the Bradshaw variant). For a while, it was highly debated WHICH version of Nova we would see. The “both” answer was a nice surprise. However, it does sound like it’ll be a while. Sam’s first appearance sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 147% and had a high sale of $250 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 ASTONISHING X-MEN #3 (MARVEL, 2004) WANDAVISION EPISODE 1 & 2 SPOILER! At the end of both episodes, a mysterious person is sitting at a control panel, watching Wanda lose her mind. On that consol was a S.W.O.R.D. logo, letting users know that this group has a direct connection to her current state of mind. S.W.O.R.D.’s first cameo is in this issue, with a full appearance in ASTONISHING X-MEN #6. #3 sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 232% and had a high sale of $199.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#13 RUINS OF RAVENCROFT CARNAGE #1 (MARVEL, 2020) Since this has connections to recent storylines in “Ravencroft: Institute for the Criminally Insane” and “King in Black: Planet of the Symbiotes #1”, we won’t spoil what happens. However, we can simply share the news that those issues have renewed interest in this book’s 1st appearance of Cortland Kasady. It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 152% and had a high sale of $59.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 STAR WARS THE HIGH REPUBLIC #1 ARIO ANINDITO (MARVEL, 2021) The High Republic is still moving (albeit a dip in volume). It sold 47 copies, had a 7-day trend of 100% and had a high sale of $79.99 for a CGC 9.8 (pre-sale).

#15 DARTH VADER #5 (MARVEL, 2015) This issue features the first appearance of the Astarte Twins (Aiolin & Morit) and Karbin (a Mon Calamari). In a world where Star Wars first appearances are pure gold, and despite unknown content appearances, this issue has sold 41 copies, had a 7-day trend of 114% and had a high sale of $14.99 for a raw copy.

#16 THE NEW MUTANTS #98 (MARVEL, 1991) This first appearance of a dude named DEADPOOL. With the MCU rumor mill offering plenty of ideas of how Deadpool could join the MCU, this first appearance is really picking back up. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 246% and had a high sale of $1,350 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 THE PUNISHER #13 (MARVEL, 2019) Last week’s protest at the nation’s Capitol book caused this book to trend again due to its story connection to “Blue Lives Matter” and the Punisher logo. It sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 127% and had a high sale of $15 for a raw copy.

#18 STAR WARS DARTH VADER #9 RAFFAELE LENCO DESIGN VARIANT (MARVEL, 2021) This is an interesting design variant where you get a rare look at Vader’s robotic prosthetics. It sold 64 copies, had a 7-day trend of 61% and had a high sale of $22.99 for a raw copy.

#19 STAR WARS THE HIGH REPUBLIC #1 PASCAL BLANCHE & GONZALO KENNY CONCEPT ART (1:10) (MARVEL, 2021) As noted above, The High Republic variants have slipped a bit in volume sold, like this design variant that sold 35 copies (down from 68 last week), had a 7-day trend of 101% and had a high sale of $104.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#20 DARK NIGHTS DEATH METAL #7 (DC, 2021) On the last page, it features the 1st cameo of Yara Flores (and the new Batman). Even though sales slowed significantly, it still sold 40 copies, had a 7-day trend of 91% and held a high sale of $19.99 for a raw copy (though recent sales are now below $10).
