#11 PORT OF EARTH #1 (IMAGE, 2017) Despite having been optioned almost 2 years ago, a recent article mentioned it… which the creator, Zack Kaplan re-shared, and other sites ran with it as if it was new news. This is a great series and we HOPE it’s coming soon… but it could still be a while. It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 141% and had a high sale of $48 for a NM raw copy.
#12 STAR WARS #71 (MARVEL, 1983) Recent speculation that Bossk may appear in Disney+’s THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT helped his first appearance in this issue move 20 copies with a 7-day trend of 127% and had a high sale of $70 for a CBCS 9.6.
#13 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #546 (MARVEL, 2008) A set photo leak from SPIDER-MAN 3 showed a transport truck with the F.E.A.S.T name on the side. F.E.A.S.T is a soup kitchen that is known to have unknown healing powers run by Martin Li, who slides between being a good-willed philanthropist and the crime lord Mister Negative. While Mr. Negative had a first cameo appearance in the 2007 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2007 (SWING SHIFT), Mr. Li and F.E.A.S.T.’s first appearance is in this issue with a first full appearance of Mister Negative. Mister Negative would be an amazing villain to see and this easter egg is a nod to this possibility. It sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 159% and had a high sale of $80 for a CGC 9.6.
#14 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 2ND PRINT (MARVEL, 2011) This 2nd print of Miles’s first full appearance is once again starting to move back up after taking a dip in price over the fall. It sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 125% and had a high sale of $389.95 for a CGC 9.8.
#15 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011) This first print has not yet seen that dip. He’s full steam up with 20 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 104% and had a high sale of $1,500 for a CGC 9.8.
#16 SPAWN #314 GREG CAPULLO SKETCH (1:50) (IMAGE, 2021) A 1:50 Spawn variant? Spawn variants are excellent long-term plays. In the meantime, it’s selling very well with 27 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 73% and had a high sale of $149.99 for a raw copy.
#17 SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #1 (MARVEL, 1993) Benefiting from the LET THERE BE CARNAGE expectations, this 1st Appearance of Shriek sold 21 copies, had a 7-day trend of 94% and had a high sale of $110 for a CGC 9.8.
#18 YOUNG AVENGERS #1 (MARVEL, 2005) Young Avengers is proving to be a key MCU phase 4 book. All the pieces are coming together. It sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 103% and had a high sale of $499 for a CGC 9.8.
#19 FUTURE STATE TEEN TITANS #1 DUSTIN NGUYEN “B” VARIANT (DC, 2021) As seen from the first print, RED X heat helped this “B” variant sell 18 copies, with a 7-day trend of 104% and had a high sale of $19.99 for a raw copy.
#20 THOR GOD OF THUNDER #2 (MARVEL, 2012) With Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher, his first appearance (plus 1st Necrosword) isn’t coming down in price anytime soon. This week, it sold 18 copies, had a 7-day trend of 100% and had a high sale of $530 for a CGC 9.8.
Yay, pictures!
My backup LCS had that Spawn #314 sketch cover for $100 last week. Hard pass. No offense to Todd McFarlane, but just an underwhelming ratio cover IMO. There are a lot of other books I would prefer apply $100 towards.
Captain America #354 and Thor 391 have also been going gangbusters – surprised that these sales haven’t been noticed yet (I’ve already sold my copies)
