Every week hundreds of new books hit the stands, each with potential. We pick the ones we think have the best shot at heating up. Here are the picks of the week for delivery 3/10/21

Black Hammer Visions #2 – I absolutely love Black Hammer and the world they have created. This issue takes a horror twist. Well worth the read even if you haven’t read Black Hammer before.
Maniac Of New York #2 – Sweet new Aftershock series dealing with a Jason Voorhees type killer. They treat him like a force of nature and give “weather reports” about where he has been seen.
New #1’s
Batman Urban Legends #1 – this higher priced book leads into the new Batman stories coming out from DC.
Karmen #1 Milo Manara Cover – New Image horror series. Coupled with a Milo Manara cover, this is a must grab for me.
Maiden #1 – New Heavy Metal Series. A young woman has forfeited her soul to a supernatural force of vengeance, never to be redeemed, devoted to annihilation as completely as her servant, the inscrutable and frightening Hag, is devoted to her. Haunting tales of unrelenting, unrepentant revenge. An epic mythos that spans time, worlds and genre, the horrifyingly tragic curse of the Maiden is written in the blood of many. Maiden is the boogeyman of a new generation.
Nottingham #1 – In this twisted medieval noir, the Sheriff of Nottingham hunts a serial killer with a penchant for tax collectors. The Sheriff’s investigation makes him the target of England’s most nefarious power-brokers. That’s to say nothing of the Merry Men, terrorists lurking amongst the trees of Sherwood, led by an enigma known only as ‘Hood.’
Non-Stop Spider-Man #1 – New action packed Spider-Man book. Looking forward to it since most of the ASM series has been a let down.
Reprint of the Week
Amazing Spider-Man #55 3rd Ptg – Kind of must grab this one to complete the red, white, and blue Webhead covers.
Ones to Watch
Strange Academy #9 – Parents day at Strange Academy, could see sone new first appearances.
Amazing Spider-Man #61 – Spidey gets his new costume, for a little white at least. I do like picking up first new suits for Spider-Man
Children Of The Atom #1 – New series featuring the X-Men Sidekicks that first appear in Marvel Voices #1
Small Press Pick of the Week
Proctor Valley Road #1 – New horror series you want to take note of, mostly because it is a combined effort with Paramount’s new line of comics (read IP) so you know these could become optioned quickly. The TFAW Variant is still available.
Pick of the Week
Joker #1 -Its been like 30 years since Joker has had his own series. The Clown Prince of Crime takes center stage. Don’t overpay for the team variant featuring the Mark Brooks art. TFAW has it for cheap
