Covrprice.com Top Ten for Week of 3/26/21

Since Covrprice.com  came on the scene, they have become a go to spot for watching eBaytrends on comics. They scour thousands of eBay sales to cultivate data to spotlight the hottest selling comics. Here is this week’s Top Ten Comics: (Please note, potential spoilers do follow, and, these results are for auction that closed last week. )

#10 MARVEL #6 LEE BERMEJO (1:25) (MARVEL, 2021) Silver Surfer Variants can often feel redundant, boring… or just simply miss the mark on capturing our favorite Sentinel of the Spaceways. However this variant by Lee Bermejo NAILS the Surfer perfectly. It’s absolutely gorgeous, which explains why it sold 51 copies, had a 7-day trend of 86% and had a high sale of $144.95 for a raw copy.

#9 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 (MARVEL, 2011) This first full appearance of Miles Morales is a powerhouse. There’s not much to say about it. It sold 46 copies, had a 7-day trend of 99% and had a high sale of $3,485 for a CGC 9,8.

#8 ENIAC #1 (BAD IDEA, 2021) Eniac remains on the list for a 3rd week in a row. While raw copies have fallen to around $100 to $130, it still sold 49 copies, had a 7-day trend of 95% and had a high sale of $499 for a CBCS 9.8.

#7 NOTTINGHAM #1 (MAD CAVE, 2021) This was #1 on our top 10 last week. This week’s holdover is actually pretty steady from last week’s sales. Interest remains high. It sold 49 copies, had a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high sale of $38.50 for a raw copy.

#6 WEST COAST AVENGERS #45 (MARVEL, 1989) White Vision is another book that keeps landing on our TOP 10. Faith in seeing the White Vision again has collector’s committing their hard earned money to his first appearance. It sold 51 copies, had a 7-day trend of 124% and had a high sale of $1,349.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#5 CAPTAIN AMERICA #25 (MARVEL, 2014) Due to Joaquin Torres’s appearance on THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, speculators feel that Sam Wilson will take on the Captain America mantle more than ever. If Joaquin takes on THE FALCON mantle, then it’s only because Sam has finally accepted the Captain America moniker. His first appearance as Captain America is in this issue. It sold 54 copies, had a 7-day trend of 129% and had a high sale of $389.95 for a CGC 9.8.

#4 FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER #1 (MARVEL, 2020) While this issue features the 1st appearance of two characters: The Natural and Veronica Eden its recent market success could simply just be due to it being their first team-up title that also shares the name from the show. Like other books on this list, the answer maybe both. It sold 46 copies, had a 7-day trend of 166% and had a high sale of $89.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#3 SAM WILSON CAPTAIN AMERICA #3 (MARVEL, 2015) As noted, this issue features the 1st appearance of Joaquin Torres, who appeared on THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER episode 1. While this news was rumored for months, this official appearance lit sales on fire. It sold 52 copies, had a 7-day trend of 239% and had a high sale of $115 for a raw copy.

#2 X-MEN #4 (MARVEL, 1992) Omega Red rumors remain strong. WANDAVISION has left us all reluctant to jump on a rumor, but that’s what sales are doing for his first appearance in this issue. It sold a huge 108 copies, had a 7-day trend of 117% and had a high sale of $481 for a CGC 9.8.

#1 SAM WILSON CAPTAIN AMERICA #5 (MARVEL, 2016) As noted, Joaquin Torres’s appearance on THE FALCON AND WINTER SOLDIER tell us that Joaquin will most likely take on THE FALCON moniker as he did in this issue. While this is still speculation, it’s logical and is highly likely. It sold 34 copies, had a 7-day trend of 389% and had a high sale of $84 for a raw copy.
