#11 BLACK CAT #4 ADAM HUGHES 1:25 VARIANT | MARVEL | 2021 The great Adam Hughes has, admittedly, been hit or miss lately. However, this cover truly calls back to some of his best covers. When a good Hughes cover hits, it stays. This week, it sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 120% and had a high sale of $92.50 for a raw copy.
#12 NIGHTWING #78 | DC | 2021 This issue features the first appearance of Melinda Zucco, Dick Grayson’s new villain. Melinda is the daughter of mob boss Tony Zucco, the man who killed Dick’s parents. This should get interesting. It sold 42 copies, had a 7-day trend of 147% and had a high sale of $39.99 for a raw copy.
#13 SHADECRAFT #1 JOCK VARIANT | IMAGE | 2021 As previously noted, “Netflix Picks Up ‘Shadecraft’ From ‘Lucifer’ Showrunner Joe Henderson”. This news helped move copies pre-release… which carried over to this week when fans couldn’t find a copy and turned to ebay for this Jock variant. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 208% and had a high sale of $19.99 for a raw copy.
#14 FLASH #92 | DC | 1994 While CW speculation is volatile at best, last week’s news that “The Flash Casts Jordan Fisher as Bart Allen in Season 7” helped kick-start sales of Bart Allen’s first appearance as IMPULSE in FLASH #92 (Bart had a shadowed cameo appearance in issue #91). This helped move 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 155% and had a high sale of $215 for a CGC 9.8.
#15 SUPERBOY #9 | DC | 1994 As previously noted, the instant star out of the new SUICIDE SQUAD trailer was KING SHARK. Voiced by Sly Stallone only enhances this instant fandom. It sold 26 copies, had a 7-day trend of 157% and had a high sale of $499 for a CGC 9.8.
#16 SPAWN #1 | IMAGE | 1992 Like ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4, Spawn is a COVRPRICE staple. Spawn’s recent comic expansion continued to move 45 copies, had a 7-day trend of 84% and had a high sale of $253 for a CGC 9.8.
#17 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 BAGLEY 2ND PRINT | MARVEL | 2011 This Bagley 2nd print is still on fire. It sold 29 copies, had a 7-day trend of 96% and had a high sale of $1,100 for a CGC 9.8.
#18 MACHINE MAN #7 | MARVEL | 1978 As noted last week, in episode 2 of FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, the Flag Smashers are powered by a liquid provided by THE POWER BROKER, who was quickly mentioned in the episode. This issue of Machine Man #7 is a one-panel unnamed cameo appearance of the Power Broker. In Machine Man #8 he has a larger/ more substantial appearance (though still unnamed). It sold 35 copies, had a 7-day trend of 102% and had a high sale of $64 for a NM raw copy.
#19 SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN #1 LCSD 2020 FOIL | IMAGE | 2019 SIKTC #1 standard cover is on fire and hit a new high of $999.99 for a 9.8 this week. As it gets more expensive, it moves further away from most collectors being able to afford to buy one… which leads them to this foil LCSD variant. At a more affordable price, it sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 109% and had a high sale of $122.50 for a CGC 9.8.
#20 ULTIMATE FALLOUT #4 | MARVEL | 2011 Look, this is going to be on the list for probably… forever. First Miles. The hottest book of 2020 and 2021. It sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 107% and had a high sale of $3,100 for a CGC 9.8.
“into the spiderverse” had already been out for over a year and the 2nd printing of ultimate fallout #4 hadn’t done a thing in the market when i finally sold my copy for like six bucks or whatever. oh well. definitely won’t be writing off 2nd prints anymore.
