#10 THE UNCANNY X-MEN #213 NEWSSTAND | MARVEL | 1981 With X-Men books on the move, this issue features the first cameo appearance of Mr. Sinister (in silhouette) and also marks the first time Psylocke joins the team. With a classic WOLVERINE v. SABERTOOTH cover, this book has been recently trending. It sold 22 copies, had a 7-day trend of 238% and had a high sale of $53 for a high grade raw copy.
#9 INFAMOUS IRON MAN #1 | MARVEL | 2016 This issue features the 1st appearances of Victor von Doom as Iron Man and the Tony Stark A.I. This book is now trending due to strong speculation that Robert Downey Jr. will be the A.I. for Riri Williams. It sold 23 copies, had a 7-day trend of 254% and had a high sale of $30 for a raw copy.
#8 BATMAN FORTNITE ZERO POINT #3 |DC | 2021 Yep, more Fortnite! This 3rd issue is selling super well due to the free code to download the “Catwoman pickaxe”. It sold 95 copies, had a 7-day trend of 73% and had a high raw sale of $42.
#7 SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #1 | MARVEL | 1993 Still benefiting from the LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer, this 1st Appearance of Shriek is sold 54 copies, had a 7-day trend of 132% and had a high sale of $389 for a CGC 9.8.
#6 GHOST RIDER #31 | MARVEL | 1992 While issue #28 features the first cameo appearance of THE MIDNIGHT SONS, this issue is the 1st full appearances of The Midnight Sons, the Caretaker, Lilith and Meatmarket. After issue #38 shot up so quickly, collectors learned about this key issue and bought 46 copies, giving it a 7-day trend of 158% and had a high sale of $70 for a CGC 9.4.
#5 NEMESIS #1 | MARVEL | 2010 Also reported by COMICBOOK.COM, “Mark Millar was doing an interview with Forbidden Planet’s new online TV show, when he said the following about Emerald Fennell’s script for Nemesis: “Emerald Fennell, who just won an Oscar for best screenplay for Promising Young Woman, has just delivered the latest draft of the Nemesis screenplay, which is extremely cool…” Due to this news, this first issue sold 15 copies, had a 7-day trend of 650% and had a high raw sale of $36.
#4 RED ROOM #1 | FANTAGRAPHICS | 2021 This new dark series taps into the dark web, specifically murder for entertainment. There’s truly nothing like this series on shelves and it was instantly hot. It sold 58 copies, had a 7-day trend of 173% and had a high raw sale of $15.
#3 MECH CADET YU #1 MARCUS VARIANT | BOOM! STUDIOS | 2017 It was announced this week that Netflix has ordered an animated series based on this Mech Cadets comic. This news sold 12 copies, had a 7-day trend of 918% and had a high raw sale of $40.
#2 GHOST RIDER #2 | MARVEL | 1990 This issue features the first appearance of BLACKOUT, who is speculated as potentially being a strong villain contender. Despite this being an unconfirmed character within an unconfirmed show, buyers still picked up 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 229% and had a high sale of $152 for a CGC 9.8.
#1 GHOST RIDER #28 | MARVEL | 1992 The first full cameo appearance of the MIDNIGHT SONS leads the charge and lands in the #1 position. As noted, there’s been no confirmation of this show… but a rumor is all it takes to heat up the market for its key issues. This one sold 63 copies, had a 7-day trend of 180% and had a high sale of $500 for a CGC 9.8.
Damn. Was out today and saw some A covers for Red Room. Picked up another 2. Never got any others, but have about 5 A covers right now. Maybe I should pick up more at cover.
I have several myself. Plus all the ratios. Good book, weird. But glad it is selling.
