Blind Adam’s Hidden Gems Vol. 141

Greetings my Comics Heating Up family. I hope you are well. Sorry for such delays in between articles. I have just been busy, will have an announcement, six years in the making sometime soon. I want to say Superman and Lois and Jupiters Legacy are amazing shows, Stray Dogs is the bomb. Now lets make the moneyw with some comics cause you can’t teach that

1. Amazing Spiderman Family #1 – reprints the first Venom, Amazing Spiderman #300 and has a Spider-ham appearance. It is an oversized book, like 104 pages, tough in high grade. All venom books are on the rise, any and all reprints of key Venom appearances should not be slept upon. I love this as it is a $10 but it should be a $50 book. Books like Spiderman vs Venom in 3D ($10-20 reprints ASM #300). Amazing Spiderman Visionaries Volumes One and Two reprints ASM #300, 316, and are like $20ish. Even the omnibus that reprints the Toddfathers ASM work make great grabs, as is all things Venom so go get em today. Movie coming plus Donnie Cates making Dylan the new Venom, its all hot.

2. Pulse #2 – Man, why does this book not et any love? It is one of Gabrielle Dell’Otto’s earliest Marvel covers, has Spider-Man on the cover and sells for like $2!!

3. Marvel Age #111
4. Wizard Magazine #18 – yes this is a two for one gem. Both feature Maximum Carnage. Let there be Carnage is going to rule. Carnage rules baby. Any and all Carnage appearances are on fire. Let the others chase Asm #361-363. As I will be going after all the weird and oddball appearances stuff like this Venom, Spider-man, and Carnage covers and appearances. Both of these can be had for $5-10 and if you can find a copy of the video game itself go get that graded as it goes for insane money happy hunting

5. Stray Dogs #1 Blank Sketch Cover – Just a few days ago these were available on TFAW for cover price. They were listed up on the forum. (editors note, join’s the forum). Now these are selling for like up to $150. The series is #awesomesauce! and it is a money maker. Check shelves as these could still be lingering, and with the upcoming signing and sketch opportunity, these could be even bigger money.

6. Foom Magazine #17 – classic Stan the Man Lee cover. First true appearance of Kiss in comics as this pre dates Howard the Duck #12 and #13 as well as the Super Special Edition. People used to laugh when I mentioned Marvel Age and Marvel Comics Presents and now they are getting a lot of love. Foom Magazines are on the rise as people are flocking to preview books (yes, go back and check the old volumes for those picks) Love them or hate them, preview books are the best thing going today

Well, that is all for this week. If anyone in the Comics Heating Up family is looking for work, lives in the New York City area and loves going to comic book conventions, and has a car, then please hit me up as I am hiring help for the upcoming conventions season, so get in touch. Thank you for being one of the best blessings in my life. Stay safe and I love you all

  1. I bought Spider-Man Family 1 thinking the same thing….then the facsimile came out…killed that spec good.

    1. I just picked up Stray Dogs #1 blanks from TFAW this past week for less than cover. I picked up a blank on a shelf as well for cover. They keep their blanks in a different section. Adam is right. They are out there. Just got to be lucky.
