As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. The second half of the Top 20.

Make sure to head over to CovrPrice.com for you comic Price Guides, Collection Management, and a lot more!

#11 SILK #4 JENNY FRISON 1:25 VARIANT | MARVEL | 2021 Frison’s gorgeous cover was an immediate draw for collectors. Shops are fairly conservative these days and ratio variants aren’t easy to come by. Those who wanted a copy had to turn to online sales where it sold 42 copies, had a 7-day trend of 106% and had a high sale of $85 for a raw copy.

#12 THOR #6 NIC KLEIN 2ND PRINT | MARVEL | 2020 This is pretty simple… with Donny Cates moving on to other titles at Marvel (like HULK), fans took to twitter to ask Cates if he would ever write about Thanos again… and he said “wait… just wait”. Another user asked if this Thor #6 2nd print cover was important… to which he replied with “yes’. That was enough for fans to jump ALL over this cover, helping it to move 72 copies, had a 7-day trend of 171% and had a high sale of $120 for a CGC 9.8.

#13 STRAY DOGS #1 SCREAM HOMAGE 3RD PRINT | IMAGE | 2021 Yep, more Stray Dogs. This Scream Homage sold 55 copies, had a 7-day trend of 164% and had a high sale of $20.83 for a raw copy.

#14 STRAY DOGS #1 2ND PRINT | IMAGE | 2021 Okay, we had trouble pin-pointing this one. Anyone know what this is a homage to? It may just be one of the few non-homage covers before the horror homages took over. Either way, it’s not easy to find and sold 11 copies, had a 7-day trend of 422% and had a high sale of $30 for a raw copy.

#15 SPAWN’S UNIVERSE #1 J. SCOTT CAMPBELL COVER B | IMAGE | 2021 As noted, Spawn Universe’s heat made this Campbell cover one of the hotter covers of the non-ratios. It sold 48 copies, had a 7-day trend of 112% and had a high sale of $14.99 for a raw copy.

#16 STAR WARS DARTH VADER #22 | MARVEL | 2018 This issue features the first appearance of LORD MOMIN & LADY SHAA. Both characters have deep ties in Star Wars canon. Lord Momin trained Palpatine and Lady Shaa is the first female Sith. There’s speculation that these characters could appear in Disney+’s THE ACOLYTE, which is said to take place in the same era. It sold 17 copies, had a 7-day trend of 252% and had a high sale of $79.51 for a raw copy.

#17 GAMMA FLIGHT #1 KAARE ANDREWS (1:25) | MARVEL | 2021 As seen with STRAY DOGS, a cool homage cover is enough to move a book. This WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE homage sold 38 copies, had a 7-day trend of 107% and had a high sale of $59.99 for a raw copy.

#18 BITTER ROOT #14 JUNETEENTH VARIANT | IMAGE | 2021 BITTER ROOT commemorates the official holiday of JUNETEENTH with this variant cover by the series artist and co-creator Sanford Greene. It sold 27 copies, had a 7-day trend of 144% and had a high sale of $20 for a raw copy.

#19 DOCTOR STRANGE #48 | MARVEL | 1981 Fans are already gearing up for DR. STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS. There’s plenty of anticipation for Brother Voodoo to be included in the film. As we noted before, the market has well moved past from just first appearances trending. Take this issue for example, where Dr. Strange and Brother Voodoo meet for the first time. This first meeting sold 33 copies, had a 7-day trend of 115% and had a high sale of $59.99 for a raw copy.

#20 SUPERMAN #4 | DC | 1986 Idris Elba’s role as BLOODSPORT is clearly going to be a central character for the new SUICIDE SQUAD film. The most recent trailer was definitely focused heavily on his role. Bloodsport’s first appearance in this issue went from obscure to now where it’s moving 40 copies with a 7-day trend of 84% and a high sale of $219 for a CGC 9.8.
