As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. The second half of the Top 20.

#11 WEST COAST AVENGERS #7 | MARVEL | 2019
If this book wasn’t on your radar before, it should be now. This issue features the first appearance of the fan-favorite and loveable character, JEFF THE SHARK. Due to the fanfare around the character, he’s getting his own solo series by Kelly Thompson and Daniele Di Nicuolo. This excitement around his own title helped sell 11 copies with a 7-day trend of 166% and had a high sale of $51.99 for a raw copy.

#12 STAR WARS #1 | MARVEL | 1977
Hey, Star Wars is back on the list! Recent chatter around the Obi-Wan series wrapping production has fans getting excited about additional Disney+ news. This helped sell 17 copies with a 7-day trend of 126% and had a high sale of $875 for a CGC 9.4.

#13 THE SAVAGE SHE-HULK #1 | MARVEL | 1980
With She-Hulk production finished a few months ago, we’re all eagerly awaiting any preview of what actress Tatiana Maslany will look like as the character. Many fans now recognize that prices surge upon the first glimpse of the character. They’re getting in front of those trends now, selling 17 copies with a 7-day trend of 119% and had a high sale of $1,199 for a CGC 9.8.

#14 SPAWN #1 | IMAGE | 1992
What’s left to say about SPAWN #1? It has a massive print run and content seems like a ways away… still, Spawn is one of the most beloved modern comic characters that’s driven by nostalgia and McFarlane fans. This week, it sold 19 copies, had a 7-day trend of 105% and had a high sale of $265 for a CGC 9.8.

#15 MARVEL COMICS PRESENTS #72 | MARVEL | 1991
Wolverine is another one of those characters that fans are desperate to hear about when he’ll appear in the MCU. Now with a PS5 solo game, Wolverine’s value is increasing even faster. This origin series sold 10 copies, had a 7-day trend of 171% and had a high sale of $249.99 for a high grade (NM+) raw copy.

#16 VENOM LETHAL PROTECTOR #1 | MARVEL | 1993
As mentioned several times in the TOP 10, fans who can’t afford to buy a character’s first, immediately jump into the first solo series. Venom is no different. His first full appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #300 is an incredibly expensive book. However, this nostalgia-driven book is really the first time we see the “anti-hero” Venom out on his own. As we get closer to seeing VENOM 2: LET THERE BE CARNAGE, fans bought 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 121% and had a high sale of $206.50 for a CGC 9.8.

#17 MIRACLEMAN #1 | ECLIPSE | 1985
Miracleman was a surprise addition to this week’s list. He’s one of those outlier characters that have high importance in the world of comics, yet remains completely underutilized. Still, several collectors picked up 11 copies of this first issue, giving it a 7-day trend of 261% and a high sale of $199 for a CGC 9.8. Maybe someone knows something we don’t?

#18 SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED #1 | MARVEL | 1993
In the most recent VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE trailer, we were able to see a little more of Shriek, whose first appearance is in this issue. It sold 13 copies, had a 7-day trend of 175% and had a high sale of $200 for a CGC 9.8.

#19 BATMAN #112 LUCIO PARRILLO (1:25) | DC | 2021
While this issue features the first appearance of Peacekeeper-K (an “off the books” version), this variant is mostly trending due to it being an awesome homage to the original Nintendo game Castlevania. The fact that it’s done by Lucio Parrillo is just icing. It sold 41 copies, had a 7-day trend of 88% and had a high sale of $31.77 for a raw copy (though the Fan Expo foil pulled interest away from this 1:25 and prices have dropped to $14).

#20 GRENDEL WAR CHILD #1 | DARK HORSE | 1992
This issue marks the first time Dark Horse published the GRENDEL title. However, this specific book doesn’t seem to have any connections to the optioned property in development. Despite this, it sold 32 copies, had a 7-day trend of 212% and had a high sale of $10.50 for a raw copy
