As promised, the Covrprice.com runners-up list. The second half of the Top 20.

#11 AVENGERS #257 | MARVEL | 1985
After James Gunn mentioned that Nebula has a “pretty huge” role in the next Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3., her 1st appearance in this issue and her first solo series saw significant market heat. While she’s been in the MCU for quite a while now, the market mostly ignored her key issues. However, that seems to have changed. This issue sold 28 copies, had a 7-day trend of 109% and had a high sale of $474.99 for a CGC 9.8.

#12 KANG THE CONQUEROR #2 | MARVEL | 2021
This issue features the first appearance of Ravonna Renslayer as Moon Knight. If you recall, she was played by actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw in the Disney+ LOKI series as a judge of the Time Variance Authority. This issue takes place in the past and makes a connection between Kang and Moon Knight. It’s unknown how this issue will progress, however it has definitely peaked the market’s interest with 32 copies sold, a 7-day trend of 118% and had a high sale of $20.50 for a raw copy.

The issue features first appearances of Aero, Wave, Crescent and IO, and Luna Snow, who are brought together by Jimmy Woo with Amadeus Cho, Shang-Chi, Silk and White Fox to protect the Pacific Rim from Sindr and other incoming threats. At a press announcement for Disney+ Singapore, a comment was made toward Kevin Feige that it was “high time we get a Southeast Asian Marvel superhero on Disney+.” Mr. Feige was quoted with the reply, “I think it is. And I think you won’t have to wait very long at all. We’ve announced a number of shows and we’ve got more in the works.” This news sent speculators racing to Google to search “Southeast Asian Marvel characters” and found this series (despite most characters being from China and Korea). This is one of those books that you should pick up. With so many first appearances, this is a future “I wish I would have picked it up when it was cheap”.
